Robert (Bob) Walter Parsick passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2023. Bob was born on January 25,1955 to Walter and Lisa Parsick in Germany. He was a resident of Virginia Beach for over 50 years.

Bob was a modern Renaissance man in his ability to accomplish amazing things: master craftsman, repairing anything with an engine, riding dirt bikes, camping, caving, driving race cars, flying drones and scuba diving. These were some of his many interests and hobbies. Many people benefited from his expertise and his willingness to find and share the adventures of life. He was the best father a son could have ever asked for, and a committed husband of 40 years.

He was predeceased by his parents. His wife, JoAnna Parsick, and his son, Robert Guy Parsick, are left to cherish his memory. Bob is also survived by his two brothers, Stanley and Walter Parsick, their wives, a nephew Trafton, a niece Jordan, and his sister, Mary Lou Bull.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations at 5401 Indian River Road in Virginia Beach. So very sad to hear of Bob's passing. I met him through the local caving club and did several trips with him. He was a "gentle giant". Help[ful, patient, soft-spoken and polite ... very capable physically and mentally. He often brought his son, Robert, on suitable caving trips. Bob's upbringing was very evident in young Robert's demeanor. Always a delight to have him on our trips. Thanks, Bob, for all the time you shared with me. Prayers are with his family. Tom Spina

Bob opened his wood shop to me to work in during the mid 90s until I moved to California. He brought me into the adventures of caving, and was generous with his expertise and knowledge in many areas of woodwork, carpentry and general fabrication. Bob was an amazing talented mentor and friend. He had a great sense of humor. Bob helped build my house in California, which turned out beautifully, 1/64 of an inch over 70 ft out of square he said proudly after we finished sheathing. Bob was a fearless warrior and consumed life to its fullest. I feel privileged to have known you. Rest in peace Bob.
