Mr. Robert J. Montgomery, Jr., known by his friends and family as “Bobby”, went to his heavenly home to join his mother and father Sunday May 15, 2022 at Riverside Hospital after a long battle with diabetes. He is survived by his faithful companion, Thumper; brother, Daniel Montgomery; nephew, d’Artagnan Montgomery; nieces, Carol Tipton, Haley Polk, and Kaytlynn Faloon; best friend, Shannon Lester; and various extended family and friends. Bobby was an avid Nascar fan, collector of Nascar memorabilia as well as co-owner/operator of a Nascar Super Truck series race truck driven at Langley Motor Speedway. He was a master mechanic most of his life and enjoyed tinkering with older autos as well as building vintage model cars.

A memorial service will be held at Newport News Park 13560 Jefferson Avenue Newport News, VA 23603 Highway Exit: 250B on Sunday June 5th at Picnic Area #2, Shelter #18 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Light refreshments will be served after the memorial service and words of remembrance.
