Robert was a graduate of Lake Taylor High School. He completed the apprenticeship program at Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he worked for many years before retiring as a Nuclear Training Instructor. He loved the beach, and his family has fond memories of spending summer vacations in the Outer Banks. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida where he had many friends and adventures. He was proud of retiring at 55 and able to enjoy over a decade of retirement before he passed.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents. He is lovingly remembered by his former wife Irma, his son Jason, his daughter Shannon, his son-in-law David, and his granddaughter Alana.
Robert’s ashes will be scattered in the ocean along with those of his parents so they can all be together again. If you would like to make a donation in celebration of Robert’s life, please visit donate.cancer.org.
