Robert Joseph Siclari, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025,
surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph Siclari and Patricia Marie Cerillo, Bob was raised in
Paramus, New Jersey, and graduated from Paramus High School. He went on to earn a
Bachelor of Science in Physical Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia,
where he also proudly pitched for the university’s baseball team.
Bob devoted his professional life to public service as a geodesist for the Department of
Commerce at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where his
precision and dedication left a lasting impact.
A man of consistent faith and quiet strength, Bob was a member of Williamsburg
Presbyterian Church and a devoted volunteer at the Liberty Lounge in Colonial
Williamsburg, offering warmth and welcome to all who passed through.
Bob had a deep and abiding love for sports, especially baseball. He was a lifelong Yankees
fan and cherished time spent watching football—particularly rooting for his Giants. He was
a constant and enthusiastic presence at his sons’ soccer games, football practices, and
wrestling matches, always offering his support with quiet encouragement and pride. He
loved to read, particularly history books focused on the American Revolution, and found joy
in lifelong learning.
More than anything, Bob loved time with his family. He treasured every moment spent at
the beach with his adoring wife, Mary Jo, relished the companionship of his beloved
dogs—especially his rescued beagle, Gus—and found his greatest joy in the company of his
children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. Whether visiting, laughing, or simply being
present together, Bob made every gathering special. His kindness, patience, and unwavering
positivity left a mark on everyone who knew him.
Bob was the kindest, nicest, and most patient man we have ever known. He will be missed
more than words can express.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Siclari; his sons and daughters-in-law, Steven
and Kelley Siclari, and Scott and Betsy Siclari; his grandchildren, Samantha (13) and
Anthony (10); and his brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Siclari. He was preceded
in death by his parents, Joseph and Patricia Siclari.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Williamsburg Presbyterian
Church, 215 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Bob’s memory to Beagle Rescue of
Southern Maryland (BRSM), in honor of his deep love for animals and his bond with Gus:
