The family of Robert (Bob) Mask is deeply saddened to announce his passing on April 1st 2026. Bob lived his life with a humble spirit and a tireless work ethic. During his youth in California, Hawaii, Illinois, and Florida, Bob became an avid water-skier, golfer, and boater, and spent many summers building boats with his brother. He attended The Georgia Institute of Technology where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and graduated from the College of Engineering in 1976. He believed in doing things the right way, showing up for the people he loved, and finding joy in the simple moments. A true enthusiast of classic cars, he spent countless hours with his son, and eventually his grandson, working on and teaching them about the cars he lovingly collected. Bob was always quick to answer calls and consult without hesitation on complex electrical, plumbing, framing, and automobile projects for his children, who knew to trust his guidance. Bob delighted in spoiling his loved ones with frequent dinners out at his favorite restaurants. He had an adventurous palate and enjoyed trying unique foods and sharing them with others. Those around him always loved that he insisted on dessert. Despite his personal achievements and his almost 50-year career in the insulation and construction industry, Bob relished most in the pride he felt for his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness. His legacy of love, dedication, and generosity will continue to guide those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Col. Kenneth Mask and his wife, Lucille and his former spouse, Candice. He is survived by his children, Daniel (Lisa) and Kathrine (John); his grandchildren, Fletcher, Marlo, Harper, Adeline, and Charlotte; and his siblings, Mary, Stephen, and Judi.
