Robert Owen Corkrum, 73, of Virginia Beach went peacefully to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.  He was born on March 5, 1947 to the late Elmer Frances Corkrum and Lucille Corkrum.  He is survived by his wife, Joan (Joannie) Corkrum; two sons, Michael Corkrum and his wife Jennifer of Hampton, Va, and Travis Van Rum and his wife Lori of Austin, TX; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Dexter, and Hazel. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Corkrum and his sister, Linda Gumm.

Bob was born and raised in Walla Walla, Washington. He attended the University of Puget Sound and then served in the US Navy.  He worked as an electronics technician at Hughes Aircraft, Raytheon, and United Technologies. He was also employed by Sears. Bob was a faithful member of Virginia Beach Community Chapel where he served as an usher and a greeter.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Virginia Beach Community Chapel, 1261 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, 23455. Memorial donations may be made to Virginia Beach Community Chapel.
