Rodney Leonard Snook passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Chesapeake, Virginia. Rodney was born on November 2, 1941, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He was the son of Robert L. Snook and Lenora Lindberg.
He served in the US Navy on board the USS James C Owens destroyer. Rodney loved spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He loved being with his dogs more than with people.
Surviving him are his wife of 41 years, Judy Snook, and his first wife, Carolyn Woodson. He is also survived by six children: Tracy Williams, Kjersti Franklin (Douglas), Melissa DeBrucker, Jessica Holmes (Bradley), Rodney Snook II (Monica), Jason Snook (Wendy); and three step-children: Nicole Sanpedro (Mike), Amanda Blanton (Frank), Michael Bunch. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, as well as his three sisters: Mary Murphy, Beverly Johnson (Kenneth), and Romayne Hamilton (Richard).
Rodney was predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert S. Snook, and his grandson Dalton Griner. Rodney’s final wishes were to be buried at sea.
