Roger was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Loyd Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Simmons and stepchildren, Nicolas Cuneo, Luke Cuneo (Margaret), Angelina Cuneo, Kimberly Pickering (Matthew) and grandchildren, Aryanna and Shayna Cuneo, Maylis and Madeleine Pickering, and his faithful dog, Zeus. He also leaves behind a sister, Melanie Simmons and brother, Mike Simmons of Georgia.
Roger attended Coastal Community Church of Yorktown, 101 Village Ave. Yorktown, VA 23693, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 7, at 11:00AM to be followed by a reception.
Burial will be at the Albert G. Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
