The world is a quieter, drabber, and less fun place after Rosie's passing, She helped to organize so many delightful FBA trips over the years, and was front and center with all of the activities whether it was scuba diving, hiking, or touring Chichen-itza -- which she always pronounced "Chicken-eatsa" to everyone's delight. R.I.P. Rosie, you will be missed by all who knew you. Peyton Mahaffey

Rosie - You have left imprints on all whom you touched with your warmth, your wisdom, and your humor. You had the talent to reach into that invisible bag of goodies you carried at the ready and could pull out just the right phrase, the right look, and the right answer to a question not yet asked. Reading the condolences posted here I'm reminded that being with you, talking with you, debating or deliberating with you, you always made me feel like I had something to say of value - and I get that sense from the other postiers here - that to interact with you left one feeling relevant and important- because you listened and you cared. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Like David Hirsch (and many others I suspect), Rosie took an interest in me when I landed in Fairfax as a new attorney many years ago. She had great empathy and suggestions for professional service that helped guide me along the way. Thank you, Rosie.

Rosie was a wonderful person, an excellent executive director, and made my time of Bar work great fun. We'll all remember her wicked sense of humor and straight talk. I would not have been able to serve as President without her help and guidance. Hope she's enjoying a bike ride in heaven!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My deepest sympathy to Max and to the rest of the family. For reasons unknown to me, Rosie saw something in me when I was a brand new attorney, and she opened doors for me, giving me many opportunities to serve in the Fairfax Bar Association. Those opportunities led to friendships and a network that has lasted and grown from the beginning. I always appreciated everything Rosie did to help ensure my professional success. She was a dynamic leader, a wonderful person, and a unique, enjoyable personality. Rosie will dearly be missed, but her legacy is cemented and carried on by all the people she assisted and influenced.

I was lucky enough to meet Rosie when she captained the tennis team. As I no longer played tennis Rosie and I went golfing together occasionally and also played bridge together occasionally. She was certainly alway there if you needed help. Rosie will be missed in this community. May you be spared further sorrows and always cherish the memories.

Max and Dan, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Rosie was a brilliant woman and a great friend. When she lived in Las Vegas, we were inseparable and told everyone that we were sisters. We had a lot of fun making up stories about that. The world was a better place because she was in it!

Very saddened to have heard of Rosies passing. She was a great neighbor and friend. We shared our love of wildlife in our yards and the beautiful birds she loved to feed. I would like to continue that as she would wish, and the first Cardinal I see, I will see Rosie giving thanks.

It is very difficult to believe. Rosie was such a good friend to me and was always there for me when I needed help. Nothing was too difficult for her. I will never forget her. You all have my deepest condolences.

The world is a drabber place without Rosie. She was a colorful, loving woman who would lend a hand whenever she could. Rosie was bold and bright - she could whip a gaggle of lawyers in shape with a well aimed suggestion. She loved her work and was so very good at it. She loved her friends and would be there in an instant if a helping hand was needed. Most of all Rosie loved Max and Danny and exhibited great pride in their many accomplishments and even more pride in the good men they are. Rosie’s death is especially hard because her Mom lived to a ripe old age and we just assumed Rosie would too. I will miss you Rosie and have no doubt that you are a blessed memory.
