Rose F. (Dombroski) Bellone, of Hampton, VA (formerly of Amston, CT) passed away on February 1, 2025 peacefully at home with her family.
She was born on November 1, 1934 to Teddy and Ethel Dombroski in Hartford, CT. She spent most of her life in Connecticut before moving to Virginia in 1997.
Rose is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Louis Bellone, her grandson, Scott Bellone, sister, Janet Bysko and her brother, Eddie Dombroski.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mark (Park) of South Korea, Victor (JoAnn) of East Hartford, CT, Sarah (Sean) McCracken of Amston, CT and Brenda Boesel of Hampton VA. Her Grandchildren: Jennifer & Adam (Sarah) Bellone, Sean (Nicole) McCracken, Candice (Jason) Deguzis, Holly (Eric) Shibley and Nicholas & Nathan Boesel along with her Great Grandchildren: Jonathan Turi, Alexander & Julianna Bellone, Jade & Tyler Shibley and Caroline & Ryan Deguzis.
Rose was an avid seamstress. She also loved to knit and crochet. She made many uniforms over the years for the Hebron Rams & Bucks Cheerleaders. She had an immense Cherished Teddies figurine collection. She enjoyed looking in the stores for different pieces from the artist.
Rose took pride sitting ringside watching her Grand-dogs show in multiple sports, especially her best boy, Rock-it. She had a big spot in her heart for the animals that shared her life.
She was a past President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post-190 in Hebron, CT.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Riverside Palliative & Hospice Care (especially Dee, Tania and Melanie), Dr Jana Nussen from TPMG and to Tina & Carletha from Reflections of Christ for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Burial will be private at St Peter’s Cemetery in Hebron, CT.
The Virginia Cremation Society is handling arrangements.
