Runell Weinstein, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. A resident of Newport News, Runell graduated from Newport News high school. Runell was a warm, loving person and she was friendly with everyone. She loved dancing and met her husband, of 54 years, Leonard Weinstein at a dance. Runell also enjoyed working in her flower garden.

Runell was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Raven; mother, Lavenia Lampros; step-father George Lampros and brother, Arlie Alford.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Leonard Weinstein; granddaughter, Angela Anderson (Michael); great-grandson, Mikey; great-granddaughter, Lauren and numerous cousins, in-laws and other family members. She was giving and loved by all.

Per Runell’s request, there will not be a service conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Runell’s memory to the American Heart Association.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
