Russell Allen Meermans was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 27, 1935 to Scott and Florence Meermans (nee Skowron) and was called home on May 29, 2023. Russ was a loving husband and father, devoted son, devout Catholic, and dedicated employee.

In Russell’s professional life, he worked across the country and around the world as an Engineer and Project Manager. He was a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and was a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). After retirement, Russ volunteered at St. Bede, St. Olaf, and the House of Mercy.

Russ is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dale Meermans; four children, Jeffrey Meermans (Jeri), Jennifer Meermans Bottone (Richard), Juliana Meermans Schatz (Kevin), and Jaime Meermans; five grandchildren, Zachary, Travis, and Kara Meermans, and Walker and Mckinley Schatz; and his siblings, Dale Meermans, Dennis Meermans, and Phyllis Schell.

Russ will be sorely missed by all of those who loved him and whom he loved.
