Russell had a very kind heart, it was a privilege to know and love him. His guinea pigs will continue his love as therapy animals with children.

Russell was a good friend. Every time we got together it was a lot of fun talking about our past sign jobs together. I will miss him, he was a true inspiration to me.
Rick Williams left a message on October 13, 2010:
Many people came in and out of Russell's life, over many years.. He always had many friends since his childhood. He tried many jobs after the Airforce, such as drove a bus,Drove a long distance truck, was a short order cook.Played drums in a band, switched to playing bass later. He was actually a very good singer. He took over our fathers sign business after our fathers death in 1979. "Signs by Williams" and was very talented in that field. Russell never apolgized for what he was. He accepted himself for who he was and was satisfied being who he was.. As his brother I thought he could have achieved more, and wanted more for him. He never had a father figure as a child and had to make his own way. As his brother of 67 years I knew The good and not so good..Even with his faults, he was never a bad person.I think he always tried to do good..I hope all of you remember the good.. I will always miss him..
