My wonderful Aunt Ruth was my father Phil Burkhardt's baby sister. She had a warmth and kindness that was impossible not to fall for. And that was accompanied by a strength to do that right thing to herself and to others around her that the world needs more of. She was a role model to me and I love her dearly. The world was illuminated by her presence and all that knew her carry some of her light forward into the future here on earth. I hope she is dancing with my dad today, and her infectious laugh is ringing loud and shaking up heaven.
Nannette left a message on January 9, 2017:

Susan Petran left a message on January 8, 2017:
Ruth worked as an RN at Virginia Beach General hospital for several years --- she was always kind, caring, compassionate and funny!!!! She had studied nursing and became an RN as a second career - if I remember correctly -- but I do know how she was loved by her patients and highly respected by her peers. She possessed that quality that many are lacking - "commen sense"!!! Ruth was working at Baypoint - skilled nursing facility in Va. Beach - she was the one to notify my husband and I when my Mother-in law passed away -- I never got to thank her in person for her kindness that day and to my Mother-in- law while at Baypoint. Ruth was a night nurse - as am I! Thank you, Ms. Owl !
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
