Suffolk, VA – Ruth Lucille Foley, known affectionately as “Luki” to family and friends, passed away peacefully at her home in Suffolk, Virginia on April 23, 2026, at the age of 80.
Luki was born on January 4, 1946 in Oklahoma to Blanton Storey and Ruth Edwards Storey. Luki grew up as one of 12 siblings. She eventually moved to Southern California to raise a family of her own.
Among her achievements, Luki enjoyed a career in the real estate industry as a Real Estate Agent and was a part of several organizations. Her commitment to her work and her clients was unwavering and she made a lasting impact on those she served. Luki was a woman of faith who loved to travel and spend time with family.
Luki was preceded in death by her dear husband, Bernard Foley and her beloved parents. Blanton and Ruth Story, as well as eight siblings.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Daniel Gillis and daughters, Cynthia Lindblom and Stephanie Hoyt; as well as her four surviving siblings, Linda Fisher, Janice Cronk, Judy Marler and Paul Storey; along with seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of family and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
