Sally Ann Osborne passed away on January 8, 2023 in Norfolk, VA. She was born February 7, 1948 to the late Thomas and Sadie Spivey. In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her sisters, Linda Harlow of West Point and Diane Haynes of Norfolk.

Sally was a graduate of Norview High School and a longtime member of Calvary Temple Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: John E. Kuster III of Grandy, NC, Kim Basnight (Baine) of Virginia Beach, and James L. Kuster of Alacua, FL; grandchildren: Jeffery Hansen (Holly), James L. Kuster Jr., Michael Kuster (Samantha), John E. Kuster IV, Grace Basnight, and Sophie Basnight; great-grandchildren: Alijah and Avah Hansen, and Viktor and Serena Kuster; brother, Thomas E. Spivey Jr.; sister, Geri Stakes; special family, Art and Deborah Starling of FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

A celebration of Sally’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Calvary Temple Baptist Church located at 5639 Brickell Road, Norfolk, VA 23502 with a reception to follow.

My heart breaks for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and experiencing the love she gave to us all, she was an amazing person. I’ve known her most of my life and I’m thankful she continued to love me even with the circumstances. One of my favorite memories with her is when we went to Graceland. She was like a kid in the candy store, eyes big and she had the biggest smile for the whole trip, she had always wanted to go and I’m so thankful that we could take her.
