Samantha Elizabeth Young of Newport News, VA passed Friday November 22 after a long illness. She was born August 29, 1982, in Florence, SC to parents Samuel Richardson Young Jr (d.) and Hazel Elizabeth Thomas (d.).

Samantha is survived by her son Patrick Richardson Mosley and his father John Anthony Mosley.

Samantha had many friends and family she loved dearly, first and foremost her son Patrick. Her paternal grandparents, Harriett and Samuel Richardson Young Sr (d.) and their sons Tim Young, David Young (d.), James Young, Shawn Young to include their spouses, children and grandchildren. Her maternal grandparents, Beverly Sims and Haskell M Thomas Jr (d.), and their children Haskell M Thomas III and Beverly “Folly” Thomas her husband and son. Her Godmother Evelyn Marshall and family and lifelong father figure Mark West and his mother Libby West and her Great Aunt Christy Camlin and family. Samantha was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
