Samuel Parton, 72, passed away on February 7, 2021. He was born on January 2, 1949 in Oklahoma. Samuel was a proud member of the Caddo Nation. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and continued his service in the 45^th Infantry with the National Guard in Oklahoma. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, coming to live in Virginia Beach to fulfill his goal of living by the ocean. He would give the clothes off his back to help anyone he could. His final act of giving was the gift of organ donation so that others may live. Samuel loved restoring old cars, fishing in the ocean, learning about history, and most of all his family.

Samuel was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Parton. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Terry Parton (Glorita) and Joseph Parton (Amanda); 11 grandchildren, including Shyann and Timothy; 7 great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Celia Parton.
