Scott W. Hoskins, born on September 12, 1954, in Auburn, New York, passed away on January 10, 2024, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was 69 years old.
Scott led a remarkable life, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that will be fondly remembered by his loved ones. He began his academic journey at Northwood School in Lake Placid, NY, where he graduated in 1972. During his time there, Scott excelled on the school’s ski team, showcasing his natural talent and determination.
Following his graduation from Northwood School, Scott went on to achieve great academic success. In 1977, he graduated from Cornell University, further expanding his knowledge and intellectual prowess. Continuing his educational pursuits, Scott obtained his MBA from the University of Georgia in 1979. It was during this time that he developed an unwavering devotion to the Georgia Bulldogs, proudly supporting and cheering for his favorite team throughout the years.
Scott’s most treasured roles in life were those of a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ellen, who stood by his side. Together, they created a beautiful family filled with love and support.
Scott is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Brad), son Sean, and sister Karen. He also leaves behind two adored grandchildren, Jack and Grace, who brought immense joy and laughter to his life. Additionally, Scott’s faithful French bulldog, Oreo, provided him with companionship and unwavering loyalty.
A mass in memory of Scott will be held at a later date to honor his life and commemorate the impact he had on those around him. His enduring spirit and the memories he created will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
