Sean Lonn was born in Siem Reap, Cambodia on March 2, 1956 and passed away in Hampton, Virginia on May 17, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Meanech Yeath, two sons Vanack Yeath and Sovana Yeath, and granddaughter, Sky Yeath. Sean is also survived by brother-in-law Van Nu, sister-in-law Sima Ben, beloved nephews, nieces and many friends.
Sean came to the United States in 1984 through sponsorship by her “small group” at Huntington Mennonite Church. She was especially close to Lloyd and Sarah Weaver whom she called “Father and Mother.” Sean became a Christian and loved Jesus and her church family. She was a member at Huntington, attended faithfully, enjoyed giving hugs to many, and brought her wonderful egg rolls on special occasions.
Loving, faithful, hardworking, generous and kind all describe Sean. She was a skilled cook and expressed love by sharing her delicious food with others. She loved to help people, whether taking care of children or assisting a friend in need. Sean liked to keep busy, working several jobs and taking care of her family. She was creative and could make beautiful vegetable carving garnishes as well as crochet lovely items.
A Memorial Service for Sean will be held at Huntington Mennonite Church, 785 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Those attending are invited to stay for a meal and visitation following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sean’s honor may be made to Huntington Mennonite Church, designated Love Fund-Sean Lonn.
