Shane Allen Carter, at the young age of 24, passed away on November 9th, 2024, in Chesapeake, VA. He was a lifelong resident of the area, having lived in both Portsmouth and Chesapeake. Born April 8th, 2000 to parents Rusty Carter and Rachel Price, he lived a life with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia – a genetic condition where the adrenal glands do not function correctly. Yet, despite this, Shane lived a life full of laughter and love, as family and friends can attest.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed community, laughter, loved all things Zelda, Star Wars, anime, and he LOVED to tell puns and dad jokes. Whether at school, being around family, at church, or anywhere else, he was always smiling and laughing.
A memorial service will be held at Point Harbor Church, located at 2705 Taylor Road, Chesapeake, VA, on Saturday, November 16th. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, with a memorial service at 2:00 PM, and a meal will be provided afterwards.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that any gifts be given to a charity of your choice. Recommendations include anything dealing with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, epileptic seizures, or a gift to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. These were all a part of Shane’s life, and would be something he would have appreciated. Cremation Society of Virginia – Chesapeake is assisting the family.
