Shane Lee Finch, 38, of Newport News, VA passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, from heart complications.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Shane Finch; grandfathers, Ronald Finch and James Connell Sr.; aunt, Susan Kimbrell; uncle, James Connell II and cousin, James Connell III; great grandparents, James and Dorothy Burgett and Dora Williams.

He leaves behind three children, Saphira, Carter and Ava Grace; estranged wife, Jennifer “Ducky” McAllister Finch; mother, Wanda Gail Finch; brother, Wesley Sylas Finch; grandmother, Geraldean Connell; and two aunts, Rhonda Whisenhunt and Denise Barker.

His memorial service will be at New Hope Baptist Church on Fall City Road at 6 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021.

Burial will be at a later date in Jones Cemetery.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
