Shanon Lane Ober, born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on July 5, 1964, passed away January 17, 2025 in Newport News, VA from complications of Charcot Marie Tooth disease. He fought a long hard battle.

Shanon is survived by his parents, Larry and Sandra Ober of Yorktown, VA; two brothers, Lauren (Ellen) of Gloucester, VA and Kory (Susan) of Knoxville, TN. He was predeceased in death by his younger brother, Chad (October 2020).

Shanon graduated from Tabb High School (1982). He was a boiler technician by trade, working at many places including Riverside Hospital and the City of Hampton. There was no bigger NASCAR fan than Shanon.

The family would like to thank the staff of Old Dominion Rehabilitation & Nursing as well as Riverside Hospice for their professional and compassionate care of Shanon while under their supervision.
