Sharon Joan Sattler

Virginia Beach- Sharon Joan Sattler, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at her home, where she was in hospice care.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA and resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia for the last 33 years. In addition she spent many years working and raising her son in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was well known for her love of animals. She raised Great Danes and horses for over 40 yrs.

She is predeceased by her birth father, Amos Bosker and her father Bennie Brackins. She is survived by her mother, Alma Brackins, her son Timothy Harlow; her grandson, Dominic Drosos, his wife April and her great-grandchildren, Kamden and Ashlyn Drosos; her sisters, Marla Abell her husband Chuck, Teresa Allen and her husband Bob; brothers, Dave Brackins, Brian Brackins and his wife Jean and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her best friend and care provider through her illness, Susan Hurley.

Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and her extended family and friends from SSStables, her boarding facility, and everyone whom she touched during her life.

A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2018 at Church of the Ascension in Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, The American Wild Horse Campaign.org or Equine Advocates.org
