Stanley Chaplin Jr , 90
Passed away peacefully Aug 10th in Portsmouth, Virginia surrounded by his loving family. Stanley was a lifelong resident of Pottstown and Jensen Beach, FL. He graduated from Pottstown High School in 1952 where he excelled in athletics. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he played football and graduated in 1956. Upon graduation, he served in the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot, rising to the rank of Captain. He met the love of his life Suzanne shortly after and they married in 1965. In addition to his wife of 59 years, he is survived by his children Stephen (Delores) and Stacey (Guy), and his grandchildren Alex, Preston, Ashton, Emma and Leah.
While Stanley enjoyed a successful career in the furniture industry, his true passions were golf and fishing. He was an avid fisherman, and loved sharing that with others, taking every opportunity he could to be out on the water.
Stanley was incredibly devoted to his family and took great pride and joy in all of his grandchildren’s activities and accomplishments. He rarely missed a game or event. In his later years, he was unable to physically be there but was always cheering from afar.
He was predeceased by his parents Stanley “Steve” Chaplin and Mary Uber Chaplin.
