Steven G. Thorpe, passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on November 15, 1954, and was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (née Ferguson) and Paul R. Thorpe.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Casto, and her husband, Bryan Casto; his grandchildren, Mikey and Leo Casto; his sister, Cindy Bryerose, and her husband, Michael Powell; and his nephews, Paul R. Powell (wife Shelia), Dorothy A. Cuccaro (husband Dave), and Andrew T. Powell. He is also survived by three great-nephews, Aiden and Noah Powell and Felix Cuccaro.

Steve explored many roads in life before settling in Virginia. He faced challenges throughout his life but found moments of peace through his passions. He enjoyed deep-sea and pier fishing, often drawn to the calming presence of the water. A devoted Ham radio enthusiast, Steve connected with people across the globe, forming relationships through the airwaves.
