Sudie Jones Stultz, 88, died March 24, 2025. She was born in Staunton, VA, on October 8, 1936, and lived most of her life in Newport News. Sudie was a 1954 graduate of Warwick High School, attended the Univ. of Alabama, and was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in Hampton. She retired from the Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority in 1998.

Sudie is survived by children Thomas P. Bales (Becky), Elaine B. Hambright (Brian), James A. Bales (Diane), stepsons Kenneth G. Stultz, Jr (Gayle), and Gary D. Stultz (Meg), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gene Stultz, her parents, Dr. C. P. Jones, Jr., and Selma S. Jones, and her brother C. P. Jones III (Bub).

A Celebration of Life for Sudie will be held Saturday, April 5, 11 a.m., in the Chesapeake Room at The Chesapeake, 955 Harpersville Road, Newport News, with reception to follow.
