Sue Ann Madeyski (Brock), 54, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Sue, the daughter of the late Edward Brock and the late Eva Christine Brock, was born on February 18, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio. She was a graduate of Ohio University with her Master’s degree in nutrition from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. A longtime resident of Virginia Beach, Sue was a well-loved dietitian at Fresenius Medical Care at both the South Independence and First Colonial locations. Sue enjoyed yoga, knitting, camping and hiking with her husband, and spending time with their two cats, Earl and Gracie and two dogs, Bodhi and Truman.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Mark Madeyski; brother, Steve (Cindy) Brock; brother-in-law, Tom (Dobbie) Madeyski; sisters-in-law, Marti (Bruce) Costello, Ann Marie Madeyski; stepchildren, Lisa (Mike) Umscheid, Cory (Chad) Appell, Ben Madeyski; grandchildren, Alex Evans and Taylor Evans; and many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald E. Brock.
An informal celebration to honor Sue’s life will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 2-5pm at Bayville Farms Park, Gazebo #3. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Norfolk SPCA, 916 Ballentine Blvd, Norfolk, VA, 23504 or norfolkspca.com.
