Susan B. Towler, 65, passed away October 23, 2016 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Susan was born February 14, 1951 to Edwin W. Buckingham III and Thelma Wells Buckingham in Riverside Hospital, Newport News. She attended public schools in Newport News and graduated from Ferguson High School, Thomas Nelson Community College and Christopher Newport University. She established, owned, ran and worked for Cardinal Tax Service, Inc. until the time of her death. Susan is predeceased by her father and two brothers, Thomas W. Buckingham and William A. Buckingham. She is survived by her mother; husband, William David Towler; daughter, Casey Wells McCaskill, all of Yorktown; brother, Kenneth R. Buckingham and wife, Linda of Arden, NC; sister-in-law, Mary W. Buckingham of Morven, NC and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Susan will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Yorkminster Presbyterian Church of Yorktown, officiated by Reverend John McDonough and his wife, Donna. The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and caregivers who worked so hard to sustain her life. We are so grateful to them for their diligent care.
