Susan T. Houston (DEE), 70 passed away on Dec 9th 2024. She was born Dixie hospital, Hampton VA March 13th 1954. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Mickey Turlington; her sister, Patricia Turlington Tyree (Pattycake); her brother, Tommy Jr.; and her son, Matthew Houston. Survived to cherish her memories by her brother, Scott Turlington and Christy (Sissy); her son, Martin Houston; grandchildren, Savannah Lea & Ryan Beach Houston; great grandchildren, Harmony Lea McGee, Avion Joseph McGee, Bella and Eric, and Mackenzie Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. A very special thanks to all of the amazing nurses at the I.C.U 3RD floor Hampton Sentara.

Dee had quite the journey on earth. She was loved immediately by anyone she met. She accomplished a lot in her short 70 years. She managed CIRCLE lanes bowling alley for over 12 years. Wow, what a time that was! She announced Rock a Bowl with the juke Box full blast. She knew everyone in Hampton. She later went to work for the government at Fort Monroe cadet command, receiving numerous awards and accomplishments; traveling to Germany and Austria many times retiring G.S. 12 with over 20 years of service. Dee loved life her family and friends whole heartedly and was the most giving loving soul ever.

Christmas will never be the same with out Dee Bird. Special love goes to Trudy Brinkley, Lewis, Robin, Lori, and Donna – all her close friends you are all family she loved you all so.

A celebration Of life will be sometime around her birthday depending on the weather. There will be an announcement…
