Virginia Beach-Terrence Patrick Baker, 65, passed away on Nov. 6, 2013. Born in Waterbury, CT to Anita Begnal Baker and George Thomas Baker Jr. He was preceded in death by brothers George T. Baker III, Donald J. Baker and sisters Regina Baker, Sharon Baker. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Lynn Taylor Baker, daughter Kara Jean Spiers, son Timothy Patrick Baker, grandchildren Rhea Lynn Spiers, Ryder Graham Spiers, sisters Joan Baker Potts, Denise Mezzanotte, Anita Claire Gleason, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Terry was a loving, caring person who surrounded himself with family and friends; there was never anyone he wouldn’t help. His loves and passions were family, dogs, hunting, fishing, Irish music and the outdoors. He considered everyone in his life to be part of his family.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at 11:00 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Maestas Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave., VA Beach, VA 23451. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilltop YMCA 1536 Laskin Road, VA Beach, VA 23451. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements.

Terry was a wonderful human being and one of our favorite people in the world. We will miss him terribly but will continue to love his equally wonderful and fantastic family for as long as they will have us.

My dearest friend Lynn and family I am so Saddened to learn of Terry's passing.I am in Tennessee taking care of my sister Lois for a week two minor surgeries. Lynn, So sorry to hear of Terry's passing. He was one of the best! Our family has so many great memories that we shared with you and him. From the boys first fishing days, to Thomaston Bowling Lanes, to OBX and teaching us how to make Hollindaise Sauce. So glad we had the chance to see you in OBX two summers ago.
