Thomas Clayton Ransone, 81, passed away December 25, 2023. He was born on February 12, 1942 in Norfolk, VA to John Palmer Ransone and Ada Zelia Ransone.  He was a graduate of Maury High School and also attended Old Dominion University.

As a child he joined Burrows Memorial Baptist Church.  Later he joined Azalea Baptist Church where he remained a member until his passing.  He was an active Mason with memberships in Atlantic Lodge #2, Norfolk United Royal Arch #1, Grice Commandry #16, Khedive Shriners, and Westminster #99 OES.  He was retired from Bell Atlantic.

Thomas married his wife, Linda Whitfield Ransone, at the New Burrows Memorial Baptist Church on June 4, 1966.

Thomas is predeceased by his wife Linda, parents John and Ada Ransone, brother Jack Ransone, sister Katherine Leonard, nephew Ralph Leonard.

He is survived by his son Clay; daughter-in-law Karlene, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A homecoming service will be held at Azalea Baptist Church, Norfolk, VA on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00am.  Cremation Society of VA will be assisting the family.
