Thomas Everett Perkins,73, passed away on December 16, 2015. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Thomas and Claire Perkins.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Roberta Perkins; a son Michael Perkins and wife Jennifer; and four grandchildren, Brandon, Zackery, Meagan and Jacob; 2 sisters, Patricia Cogswell and Leigh Perkins.
Tom was honored to serve his country for 45 years. Retired Navy, 20 years as an Aircraft Electrician Technician; 25 years Civil Service as an Aviation Technical Rep who traveled around the world. There was nothing he could not do. He loved to play golf in his leisure time.
A memorial service will be held 3.P.M., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Tabernacle Methodist Church, Sandbridge Rd., Virginia Beach.

Bert, so sorry to hear of your loss. It was so obvious that the two of you had a special bond. I have been thinking of you during the holiday season. I can only imagine how difficult this has been for you and your family. Even in your sorrow, I hope you can hold on to the thought that a life lived with so much love never really ends, but goes on forever in the hearts of those who remember.

Still have not been able to wrap myself around this. Think of you, Roberta, a lot. Even though we didn't see you a lot, always enjoyed running into the two of you. Will miss Tom much.

Bert, Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family during this most difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Tom's death. I worked with him for years at Bow Creak and Red Wing and he was a good friend.

Dear Roberta, we will always cherish Tom's memory. What a wonderful gentleman! We, as well, will miss him dearly. We love you, dear Friend, and please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, Tom and your Family. I knew Tom for many years. As the Officer-In-Charge of the Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit Oceana, I had the pleasure of working with Tom on a daily basis. He was a top-notch technical representative. Rest in peace friend.
