Thomas L. Piersons, born May 19, 1937 passed away Oct. 14, 2011. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Virginia Piersons; children: Jennifer Miller, Mary Robert Hendrix, Fawn Wilson, Thomas Elizabeth Piersons, and Robert Piersons; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step-children.
Memorial services will be held Oct. 29 at 1:00pm at North Bay Shore Campground off of Cholechester Rd. in Virginia Beach.

When we were kids, we used to visit Aunt Kitty and her family quite often. Everyone in that family has a special place in my heart. Tom will be sorely missed by the North Bay Shore Campground seasonal campers and owners, Fred, Evelyn, Diane, and Nancy We always enjoyed when Tom would pop in with fresh cleaned crappie and bass that he caught while camping. We always enjoyed seeing him, talking about how he caught them, and subsequently frying and eating his catch. I enjoyed being with him and his family on the "party barge," too. We plan to memorialize Tom at North Bay Shore by naming the point where he and his family camped "Piersons' Point," In that way, Tom's spirit will always be with us. I can't help but picture he and Geneva smiling and telling fish stories!
