Tammy, you perfectly summarized everything about him. He was very generous and loved getting together with friends. When we were making arrangements to take a couple international vacations, Tom never hesitated to say that he and Tammy would join us, and we have many fond memories of those trips. In addition to his appreciation of finer foods, he knew a great bargain and introduced us to The Brass Bell for prime rib night...we were hesitant at first, but learned it was the best deal in town back in its hey-day. I paid that recommendation forward by introducing many other friends to the BB. One thing Tom and I recently discussed was that in our prime, we would have been a great team on The Amazing Race...his international travel experience plus whatever I might be able to contribute to the team would have made us great competitors (not to mention that we would eat anything served overseas that others might avoid.) I occasionally shared a glass of bourbon and cigar with Tom, so after I learned of his passing, I stopped by a distillery in his former hometown of Newport News and ordered a flight of bourbon in his honor. Rest in Peace.

Tammy, Manny and I are so heartbroken to hear of Tom's passing. Time was always full of life and ready to have a good time. I am so glad he got to do all the things he loved and travel like he did. He loved all the nieces and nephews and spoke of them whenever we saw him. He definitely loved life and love to enjoy it. He will be missed.
