Thomas (Tom) Olenski, age 62 of VA Beach, passed away unexpectedly June 1, 2024. He was predeceased in death by his father and mother, Robert Olenski and Sue Olenski. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Henry Olenski. His brothers-in-law, Randy Clary (Susan), Rick Henry (Lois), and Ryan Henry (Michelle).
For those who really knew Tom well, he loved to travel, a variety of worldly foods, a good game of “Texas Hold Em”, fine cigars, working out at the gym, floating in the pool, going out on his boat, ODU football and playing LOTS of pickleball. Tom was well-known in so many circles of friends because of his diversity of activities and interests. People know and remember Tom for his kind smile, encouragement and quick wit. He made friends easily all around the world. His all-time favorite thing to do was to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He loved them unconditionally.
Tom was so proud of his wife’s professional accomplishments and adored her kindness and philanthropic spirit. Tom’s favorite quote was “Enjoy life NOW. You never know when it will be your last day!” And that he did!
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
