Thomas Orlowski passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the age of 92, with family and friends by his side in Virginia Beach, VA. He is survived by his two sons, Paul and Vincent; 14 grandchildren: Tara, Kristin, Tyler, Erika, Shawna, Sarah, Ashleigh, Chad, Hunter, Cory, Angelica, Michael, Jessica, and Matthew; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Joan, and his three children: Karen, Tom, and Jamey.

He dedicated his life to helping others and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. After retiring from a full career at NOAA, you could always find him doing something with his hands (various crafts, working on automobiles, or doing construction projects). He loved volunteering at various charitable organizations, camping, hosting cookouts, and he was a founding member of his church. He was known to many as TKO and will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia Beach.

Orlowski Family, I had many wonderful, fun filled times with both Tom and Joan. Singing Italian songs and drinking red wine at the Roma lodge hoping we didn't burn the chicken for the picnic. I miss them both but have a smile for the lasting memories he left us. gus

Your father was a good man who thought of others before himself many good memories of when your mother and father camping in Florida near my Fathers house when I was there they were very outgoing to my family we have many good memories and they will be missed. Sincerely cousin John and Maria.

Papa...the man, the myth, the legend! There are so many memories! From camping, traveling the East Coast, hanging out in the back of your trucks, fishing / crabbing, Russian embroidery, beer can airplanes, card games, coming to support me as well as my kids at school events, polka dancing, Alligator races, dinners at the Roma Lodge, all the trips to Busch Gardens & Kings Dominion, Orlowski chicken, being our chauffeur at our wedding....the list just goes on & on. You were always thinking of others and always looking for ways to give back. From serving dinners to the homeless at the oceanfront, to volunteering at Social Services during the holiday season, to helping with maintenance activities at your favorite local campground, and to helping out around the church with whatever was needed. You were always thinking of others. You made a lasting impact on so many lives. You will be missed, but never forgotten. I love you ❤️
