Timothy “Tim” James Pokrywka, born on February 28, 1965, in Portsmouth, VA, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 61. Tim’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and joyful living, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for a decade, embodying the virtues of service and commitment. After his military career, he brought his diligence and attention to detail to his work as an Office Clerk with the United States Postal Service.
A vibrant spirit with a zest for life, Tim was an ardent supporter of the Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Reds, cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines. His love for music was profound; he was often found strumming his guitar, filling his home with melodies that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved him.
Above all, Tim cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to Leslie Diane Pokrywka, a loving son to Sylvia Margrit and James Paul Pokrywka, and a proud father to Michael (Danielle), Deborah (Jason), Timothy, Jr. “TJ” (Amber), Tyler, and Keli (Bryce). His legacy lives on through his 22 grandchildren each of whom he adored deeply.
Tim especially delighted in playing “Adopt Me” on Roblox with his grandkids, creating treasured memories and adventures in virtual worlds. His grandchildren have lovingly continued his game, ensuring his playful spirit thrives.
