My condolences to Troy's family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. I am also from Pennsylvania, suburbs of Philly. I was so shocked to learn to Troy's passing, I had the pleasure of mentoring him for a short time as he planned educational sessions for public sector agencies and their staff in the mid-Atlantic area. His energy and ideas rubbed off on a lot of us and he was quick to change up typical training approaches, he had fresh thoughts. I also worked with him on some of his presentations, he wasn't shy about taking on a topic new to him. Know that his tenacity will be missed and we continue to pray for Troy and his loved ones. God Bless. Ken Eyre

He will be missed. The ease with which he approached others and the warmth that Troy brought when speaking to those around him, provide an example for all of us to follow in his remembrance.

the time I worked with Troy at the vdot was too short, but I remember it as a happy time with much laghter and joy. a rare commodity in most government jobs. he continued to poke me through Instagram in the years that followed, posting selfies like my wife and I would do at concerts. we argued about who was copying who. I regret not catching up to him at "beach it" in 23. we were only a block away from each other. "Next time," we said. what a loss for all of us.

I was so very sorry to hear of Troy's passing. Troy was one of the kindest, most pleasant people I've ever had the fortune to work with. He was a good engineer and a better person. His family are in my thoughts and may his way of treating others with kindness serve as a model for others.
