Vickie Lynn Meekins Gray, 58, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in Virginia Beach after a short illness.

Vickie was born June 12, 1962 and was predeceased by both her parents, Lloyd McCoy and Jean Levonne Whedbee Meekins. Vickie was a graduate of First Colonial High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in business. She married Donald E. Gray, Jr. on October 5, 1985. Their beloved son, Eric Tyler Gray, was born April 9, 1988. Vickie chose to be a stay at home mother in order to raise her wonderful son and watch him grow to become a strong, well rounded man. Family meant everything to Vickie and she was a surrogate mother to many along her way in life, especially to Heath Carter.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Don; her son, Tyler; her sister, Tammy, and Tammy’s son, Brandyn; her uncles, Albert Whedbee and Eddie Whedbee; her aunts, Stacey Whedbee and Judy Harman; along with an abundance of family and friends whom she so loved.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on June 6, 2021 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at 501 N. Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
