His family lived in the Ocean View area of Norfolk for many years. Walter was born on May 18, 1951 in Norfolk, VA to the late Walter C. Spencer, II and the late Lillian Fincher Spencer and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a self employed painter.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Anne S. Funk, Laura S. Savage and Beverly S. Toole; his daughter, Sonia Spencer; and his two grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Chesapeake Office, is assisting the family. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.vacremationsociety.com.
