Norfolk – Walter Prentice Jones, Jr., 64, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at DePaul Medical Center.
Walter is lovingly remembered by his father and mother Walter P. Jones and Jean A. Strickland; five brothers James Jones, Leonard Strickland, Kenneth Strickland, Timothy Strickland and Norman Strickland, many in-laws, nephews, nieces, other family and friends. The family would like to send a special thanks to Joy Skora for all the years of kindness she has shown to Walter.
He is predeceased by his brother Michael Strickland and step-father Willie L. Strickland.
Walter was born in Tazwell, VA. He spent most of his adult years living in Norfolk, VA. Walter managed the Squires Club for over 30 years where he developed many lasting friendships. He was loved and will be missed by many.
