Willard S. Moger Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of the Crittenden-Eclipse community in Suffolk, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on September 26th, following a courageous two-year battle with illness. He was 85 years old.
A proud graduate of Chuckatuck High School, Class of 1956, Willard dedicated his life to his family and community. He was an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where he found strength and fellowship.
Willard had a passion for the great outdoors, cherishing time spent fishing in both fresh and saltwater. He particularly enjoyed hunting with his son, Jeff, and his grandsons, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Willard is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Judy Bolton Moger; his son Jeffrey Moger and wife Audrey; his daughter Robin Nelhuebel and husband Kevin; grandsons Kyle Nelhuebel, Ty Moger, and Kitt Moger and wife Heather; and granddaughter Jana Nelhuebel. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments that will live on in the hearts of his family.
A celebration of life service will be held for Willard on Sunday, October 13th from 2 to 4 pm at the CE & H Ruritan Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, either monetary or in the form of blood donations.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
