William Ashton Tatum, Sr., 57, passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 16, 2015 after a long and courageous battle against cancer. A native to Lawrenceville, VA, he was son to Janice F. Karvelis Lessard and the late William Russell Tatum. Left to also cherish his memory are his three sons Ashton, Brennan, and Holden of Virginia Beach, VA and his sister, Wanda Tatum of Midlothian, VA. Billy was happiest hunting, fishing, coaching, and spending time with his three sons. An avid outdoorsman, Billy provided his family with many memorable adventures including their annual trip to the mountains for the past 36 years. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Sunday, September 27th at 2pm at Trinity Church (inside First Baptist Church) 401 35th St.
