Virginia Beach- William E. Councilman, 94 passed away peacefully on January 11, 2011. Born on February 23, 1919 in Burlington, NC. He retired from Sentara Leigh Hospital in 1985. He was self-employed to until the age of 90. He was a veteran of WWII.
His wife Dorothy of 47 years and his parents A. Worth and Lizzie Councilman preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Vinson of Virginia Beach and Anne Ribar of Norfolk; a son Charles Councilman of Germany; grandchildren Chris, Penny, Elizabeth, Michael, Lee and Christine; great grandchildren, Drew, Sam, Elizabeth, Emma, Jack and Livvy.
The family would like to Thank Kim from Sentara Care Bridge Program for her compassionate care.
The family welcomes friends to a reception Friday January 14th at 5 pm at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Philip Luebbert 9528 25th Bay St, Norfolk, VA.
