Dear Mrs. Whitmore and family, I am saddened by Dr. Whitmore's death. I can still see him on Tradition I sailed for Garland dozens of times and the NYCC pier. I remember you both so well the night, probably 50 years ago, you and Dr. Whitmore had me to dinner at your house to introduce me to, I believe, a niece who was visiting. My Father and Mother loved both of you, and I have childhood memories of you both at my parents cocktail parties, you with that gorgeous blonde hair and handsome Dr. Whitmore in stylish, sport coat and pant. You were a GREAT lookiung couple. Of all my parent's friends, YOU were the couple I wanted to be like when I married. When you see Bill Miller at the funeral, please tell him I send my very best from my life down here in beautiful Ecuador. I will be thinking of you, and I know that this is a terrible loss for you and your family as Dr. Whitmore was a wonderful guy that I looked up to as a child, teenager and young man. Chuck Davis
