William “Billy” Henry Ogletree Jr., born on May 23, 1978, in Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully in Newport News, VA, on May 19, 2025, just shy of his 47th birthday.
William was a devoted landscaper who took great pride in his work, transforming ordinary spaces into beautiful havens. He possessed an innate love for the outdoors, which extended beyond his profession and into his favorite pastime: fishing. He found tranquility in the gentle ripple of water and the art of patience that fishing demanded.
Apart from his professional dedication, William had a passion for video games. He often connected with his family and friends. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was sharing laughter or simply being present for one another. His life was woven with the threads of family bonds, and he treasured those relationships deeply.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister Michelle Ogletree and his stepfather Eddie Robinson. William leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory: his mother June Robinson; his sons Deondray Ogletree, Darryn Frantz and Daymion Frantz; his daughter Taylor Callahan; his brothers Michael, Donny, and Carl Ogletree; his nieces Alicia Ogletree and Kaliah Coleman; two great-nieces; and his aunts Inell Cooke and Doris Gray. His cousin Kenny Gray, along with his dear friend Venus and her family, also held a special place in his heart. Many other extended family members and friends mourn his loss and celebrate his life.
William’s journey was one marked by simple joys, deep connections, and a strong work ethic. He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his gentle spirit, and the love he spread to all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched.
