Continue ReadingWilliam Thomas Joseph, 78, of Norfolk, VA, passed away at home on Monday afternoon. He was born on 5/8/37 to Alfred and Katherine Joseph of Lewes, DE. Bill served in the army before completing his education at ECU. It was there he met and married his wife, Norma Faye Bright, on 6/7/64. They settled in the Virginia Beach area and he took a job as the comptroller in the business office with Virginia Wesleyan College, then started a family. He completed his master’s in business and spent many years as the Vice President of Finance at VWC. Bill was very active in the Cape Henry Rotary Club, in his church, and at VWC. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Faye Joseph; his children Mark and Sarah Joseph and Michelle Brown; his grandchildren, Liam Joseph, Rainy Miles, and Chantal Miles; his brother and sister-in-law Alfred Jr. and Caddie; and loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 12/12/15 at Epworth United Methodist Church at 2 p.m.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. The two of you were one of the bright spots at Colonial Avenue, and we missed you after we left. Bill always had time for us, and was genuinely interested whenever we talked. His smile would like up a room! One of my favorite memories of Bill was when he put on the 'red suit' for the children of the church at Christmas.
