William "WT" Edward Mauch

March 22, 1954 - May 3, 2024

William Edward “WT” Mauch, age 70, of Virginia Beach, passed away on May 3, 2024. A lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, he was born on March 22, 1954.

He is survived by his wife, Tracie Mauch, his brother Paul Mauch and his wife Pam Hanrahan. He also leaves behind nephews David (Brittany) Mauch, their children Bryson and Cameron, and Michael (Amanda) Mauch, and their children Grace and Colton, along with his nieces Madison Coakley and Bren Coakley.

Known as “Captain WT”, he loved being on the water and working on sportfishing and crew boats. When he was not working, he enjoyed quiet days with Tracie and his fur babies by the pool or long drives which included riding on ferries. WT was known for his hard work, kindness, and bigger than life personality.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor and remember the life of William Edward “WT” Mauch.

Biil and I were friends back in elementary school at W.T.Cooke. My family moved to AZ in my mid 5th grade. When we moved back I met him again at FC. In the drafting class he was quite the "Cut UP" along w/ his side kick Jock Drumheller. Those were really fun days. The last time I saw Bill was several years b/f covid at Farm Fresh on Great Neck Rd, He had a big smile b/c he had just gotten smile. Yes I'll miss him. GOD BLESS!!!

May you Rest in Peace my friend. We spent many days offshore the summer of 74, what great memories on the Blue water.

The world has lost one of the most amazing person I’ve ever met. WT and I along with Bird man and Steve back in the days in Florida at Cannonsport marina were always together. Years went on and we all went in different directions! But never forgot the times we had. RIP WT, you lived a great life although I ever met Tracie it was clear you both were happy together. Prayer for Tracie and family. Memories will live in our hearts for-ever. Your never really gone.
