Yvonne E. (Bonnie) Williams, 76, died peacefully on August 16,2024, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland in October 1947 to the late William R. and Mildred Crann and was always proud of her Newfoundland heritage. Bonnie was a sweet soul who always gave so much of herself to her family and friends. She was a real estate broker with a career that spanned 30 years, and she was a dedicated wife and mother who was always the center of her family, particularly during the years traveling around the world with her family as a Navy Wife. Bonnie was exceptionally creative and loved decorating. She was also a masterful seamstress who loved making fashionables clothes and quilting.
Bonnie us survived by her husband of 56 years, David Williams; two sons, Stephen Williams (Mandy) and Curtis Williams (Adrienne); Granddaughter, Laurel Williams; brother, Thomas Crann (Majorie); and many nieces and nephews.
Final arrangements will be made by the Cremation Society of Virginia. A celebration of Bonnie’s life with family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be expressed through a donation to The Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank the nurses and care workers at Harmony at Independence and the hospice care support team.
