We are so completely heartbroken, and still can’t believe you are gone but know you will never be forgotten. I will cherish all our memories from the past 20 years sharing life with you. You will forever be in our beautiful children’s hearts and we will keep your legacy alive. The boys and I will never stop loving you and lifting you up…Until we meet again <3
Wow! Resting in peace and without pain. An angel for sure. I will think of you often and will enjoy the memories of our conversations. Butterflies and Pennies. Love and Prayers to all who will miss her.
I am saddened to hear of Ted and Pat both passing away. They were great neighbors to my parents, Peck and Marcie Graves and my son Robert Newton. They were hard working people who loved having a beautifully manicured yard and amazing flowers. Our condolences to the families of Pat and Ted and their friends.
When we were house hunting in Virginia Beach, Yoko and John graciously housed my family in their Sea Breeze home. Little did I know that we would become neighbors several years later. Yoko would always greet us from the bottom of the driveway when we were out on our walk. Gracious and always perfect in her appearance every time we would meet! My family has very fond memories of Yoko and John. The Chidesters
Mom – I miss you so much but I am glad that you have journeyed home to Heaven. Through the tears, my heart smiles because I know that you are happy, reunited with dad, and watching down from the Heavens as my Guardian Angel. I am heartbroken – there is no denying that … but I will be OK. You taught me to be strong, and I will give my best to follow in your footsteps. I miss you, mom and I will hold you in my heart every day until we meet again. Love love love you!
Our love and sympathy to Kit’s family. We worshipped together with her and your Dad, shared dinners and wonderful memories. Kit’s gift of floral design was truly a gift which she shared generously at St Nicholas and later at Westminster. We last saw her at a fundraiser at WC a year ago this pat Christmas. She made a unique arrangement…in a gown! I was blessed to work with Dick on the columbarium committee. Gentle, loving caring people they both were. We will hold them in our heart and memory.
Mom: Thank you for being the best mom and friend anyone could have. You were honestly the strongest yet kindest person I’ve ever known. I have many wonderful memories, cards, and photos that bring me peace and joy. I’ll cherish them always until we meet again. I know you are at peace with Dad and enjoying your time together. While I miss you terribly I celebrate your reunion. I miss and love you both so much. Thank you for always being there for us.
Leslie, I was so sorry to read of your mom’s passing. I remember how close you were to her. Losing one’s parents is a difficult experience to cope with even though we know that they will not be with us forever. Hold fast to all of your memories. Thinking of you and your family.
To Sandra and Family, We are all deeply saddened for the passing of ‘Aunt Sarah.’ May God continue to comfort the family during this most difficult time. The great memories keep us going forward. In Jesus’ Name, the angels are rejoicing at Sarah’s arrival. Much Love, Sherri Mulkey, Gregory Mulkey & Karen (Mulkey) Staton
Sincerest condolences on the passing of the lovely lady that you and the boys called wife mom. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to meet her through the years. You two were a wonderful couple.
Linda Chavis

My heart breaks for this beautiful woman. Dana was an angel on earth to so many and helped more young Mother’s than anyone will ever know. Dana I will miss you my friend … keep all the angels laughing in heaven. Til we meet again BIG MAMA. Prayers to the family
I’m so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I have many memories of him from high school, the swim team, and since. Rachel, Andrew and Jacob we love you and have been keeping you in our prayers.
Your family has been heavy in my thoughts and I am so sorry for the pain you are experiencing, as you navigate through this tragic loss. I wish he had more time, but feel confident his adventurous spirit will live on in his sons and with the family as you reflect on memories. Thinking of you all…
Ran with Bill for 12 years during public schools. Spent many many hours playing games and visiting with him at his home. He was a close friend and a good guy. My prayers are with Carol and the kids.
So very sorry to hear of Dana’s passing, she was such a wonderful person, warm, kind, always helping whereever she was needed, and always that wonderful smile & joyful laughter !! R.I.P.Dana, love & prayers to the Family. Grace “Red”
I am so sorry to hear that Cousin Ted has passed. He was just a couple weeks younger than me and a good ‘buddy’ cousin. We had so much fun growing up. He will be missed. Susie
To all of the Mrs. C family My thought and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. I have so many great memories of her. Sending thoughts and prayers to all of you
To the family,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss? I pray that Jehovah will give you the strength you need at this difficult time in your lives. She was always ready to answer my many questions, and was a very good friend to me. I will also miss her, but I know all the wonderful memories I have will help to ease the pain of losing my friend. I look forward to seeing her in the paradise that is coming to the earth.
Sincere sympathy to the family on your great loss. Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you (Psalm 55:22). Please know that Joyce is in Jehovah’s memory, and He has not forgotten all the wonderful things she did.
Please know that your family is in my prayers. Joyce was a zealous servant of Jehovah and He will not forget her works. Jehovah is looking forward to the day that He will call and Joyce will answer. Never forget the love Jehovah has for Joyce as we look forward to the day that she will once again be serving Him in the paradise here on earth.
Getting to know Faye was a high point. A funny, loving woman. Enjoyed working with Faye and also being a friend after she retired. Jim was dedicated to Faye and always by her side. Rest In Peace Faye, you deserve it.
My deepest condolences to the family. I worked with him in the school system for many years, and remember fishing with him. What a great guy! Ed Pahl, Norfolk VA
My sincere condolences to the Haughton Family. This pain of heart Jehovah will end soon, but will soften each day during your grieving process. I will never forget my visits to my grandmother Florence Creasy and my Aunt Eva Smith in Bremo Bluff,VA. The highlight of the week was field service with Joyce and the other pioneers on Tuesday and then the midweek book study. I was only 12/13 years old but from Joyce I learned the pioneer spirit. Her faithfulness will be rewarded.
It saddens me to hear about the passing of Joyce. I’ve known her since 1964 when her Mother invited my Mom to the Kingdom Hall. We were neighbors for years. Don’t dwell on her passing but celebrate the life she lived well. Revelations 21:4 says “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning not outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We look forward to seeing her again!
Lee as my friend and Brother. I learned a lot from this rusty old salt. Sweet man and a loyal friend. Lay down your tools, your journey is complete. WELL DONE!
I remember the times Joyce and I worked in the door to door ministry together. She was very calm and mild tempered with her presentations and responses at the doors.
I learned a lot from the field service tips she gave me to better my skills in the ministry.
Jehovah yearns to wake up those sleeping in his memory. I also cannot wait to see her again … when all things will be new. (Revelations 21:5)
My sincerest condolences to the Haughton and Shepard families. Because of the Shepard family, my family learned the truth and for that we are forever grateful.
In our later years, Joyce and I shared our love of gardening and our many memories of raising our kids. Joyce will truly be missed. But for now her race is complete and we look forward to seeing the fulfillment of Jehovah’s many promises…when we can welcome Joyce back to a paradise right here on earth.
While we started out with me as her supervisor, she became a beloved friend and confidante. Wry, sarcastic and funny as hell, you sure knew where you stood with Faye. I wasn’t certain until one morning when she gave me a kiss. To Angie and Jim; my deepest condolences, and I will miss my friend.
My dear brother please accept my condolences to you and your family. I won’t be able to send you the customary chicken and rolls but you are in my thoughts and prayers. When Tamika told me about your wife I was saddened. I know how much you love her and what agreat loss this is for you. Still being at her ressurection is now the focus we must all have. Thank you for the love that you showed for my girls. Stay strong. Numbers 6:24-26. Isa. 30:15.
My heart goes out to the entire Murray family and their friends as they deal with the loss of a truly great man. I grew to know Ray first as a client, but over the last two decades, much more as a treasured friend. God bless Ray and all his loved ones.
I am so saddened to learn of Jerry’s passing. I will never forget the many late nights on the football field and parties afterwards. My condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with the family. We love and miss you all. Big Hugs!! RIP Jerry
Pappaw,
Rest easy now. I will always remember going on bike rides and peanut butter and banana sandwiches. You are loved and missed by allot of people. To the rest of the family, I give my deepest condolences.
What a sweet, godly woman Mrs. Perez was. She treated me, as a young college student, like part of her family, making me always feel at home. Praying the presence and peace of God will flood the hearts and minds of the family and friends she leaves behind.
You will be missed dearly Mrs. Baird. All of your students and former students love you so much and miss you. Thank you for all the laughs and the good times and the memories made in orchestra class. ?
Rest in peace Mrs Baird. You were an amazing orchestra teacher. As a former student, I will miss you deeply. All of your students and former students love you. You will be missed.
My deepest sympathy to all of the family and friends who will miss her so. She was a wonderful colleague and dear friend. I’ve never seen a better math teacher; she worked long and hard to make sure the students succeeded. What an inspiration she was! Susan Miller
I’m so very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. We taught science across the hall from each other, and had wonderful times together at Princess Anne. Often, before school, Jim, Mrs. Agami, and I would be laughing so much at his comments – our days couldn’t have started any better. I appreciated the produce he thoughtfully brought in from his amazing gardens, especially since I could seem to grow anything. Jim was always the one with the answers, and always willing to share materials and ideas. I hope memories of him are of some comfort to Maddie and his family during these difficult days.
Praying for peace to all who love Jim and long to see him again. He touched so many lives, including mine, and will always live through our hearts. We love and miss you Kansas City Jim.
To Brother Haughton and sons: Please accept my deepest sympathy! I draw comfort in knowing her condition is temporary! I have nothing but the best memories of Sis. Haughton. I appreciated the opportunities to get to know her as a person and she proved to be one of the most humble, dignified, reverent and serious-minded persons that impacted my life personally in ways that only Jehovah knows. I plan to continue my conversations with her in the Paradise. May you too draw comfort from that!—Isaiah 26:19.
So sorry for your loss. I remember Vernon very well. He and his wife Norma were very good friends to my Mom and Dad. My memories of Vernon are fond ones as he always had an engaging smile and was super nice to everyone. Prayers of comfort for all the kids and grands! You were lucky to have him. I’m know he will be missed. ?❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so hard to lose someone that is loved so much. My heart goes out to all of you. May the Lord wrap his arms around you and give you peace.
Diane and family:
We loved Marcy very much. We are sorry for your loss. We will miss her and her great smile. There were many good times and memories with the Crusaders Class. She was so faithful in the class. Just think of the reunion she enjoys right now. So many from the class. Blessings to you all.
You will be truly missed by all that knew you. Remembering the times we spent together through your ups and down days but also how strong you were. Never will forget your kindness and how humble you was, praying for the family
I’ve known John since he started with Bell Atlantic we worked together off and on for all those years. I can say that I’ve never met or worked with a finer person. I know your in a better place now.
Jerry brightened all days. His smile, humor, laughter, and pure joy of life was contagious. He was a genuine friend and the most honest person I think I’ve ever met.
His love for God was evident, his love for Wilma immense, his love for his family was unconditional, and his love for friends was apparent.
Steve and I will always love this man, and cherish the memories made with Jerry – forever.
Love to all that knew this wonderful man. I know you need comfort, as we were all blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing him. Our hearts go out to Wilma, their children, and grandchildren. May you find comfort and peace throughout the days to come.
Sorry to hear about Randy. He was my long time wreck and cave diving buddy and I hiked many a mile on the Appalachian Trail with him. I owe him for a lot of reconstruction work he did on my house. Anything i can do for the family, please let me know. I’ll miss him.
Richard Tarr
Dear JoAnn & Mike,
Peggy and I wanted you to know how wonderful the memorial service was last night. It was so nice to see you and your family. It brought back many great memories of our Yale Drive days growing up with each other and our children and also Mike’s & BJ’s wedding. Love, Bruce & Peggy

I have known Adam through his cousin, April, since our high school days, and I was so sorry to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to all of his family, especially to Aunt Debby, Aunt Kathy, April, and Adam’s daughter. Adam was friendly, fun to be around, and had a gentle charm that always appealed to me. I saw him off and on throughout the years in April’s company, and he was always good for a chat, always took an interest in how I was doing, and he even lent me a favorite book of poetry once. I have included a picture of us in 2003 at a hotel down by the beach, which I’ll remember him by. Adam was unforgettable, and he will be missed. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Lori, will be greatly missed. Her Georgia accent, energetic and high-powered personality touched us all. It was a joy traveling to the Eastern Shore with every Monday for three years. We knew each other well. I’m going to miss you my sister. Rest in Heaven until we meet again. Your sister in Christ and friend.
Lori was an instant friend to everyone she come into contact with. She had the biggest heart and cared deeply for her family and friends. I only had the pleasure of being her friend for a few short years but she has left a permanent imprint on my heart. Rest in Peace Friend.
My Dear Aunt Marcie, So far but yet so near! You are missed, the last of the generation. My heart goes out to all…now we must endure…until we all rejoice together.
Jimmy was a friend of mine in college. It was many years ago and my memory has faded, but whenever I picture him, we’re laughing together. Rest easy Jimmy. ♥️
I lost one of my absolute giants this month.
James was a natural and gifted teacher for 4 decades – the type you read about in magazines, or hear about on those old Sunday Morning Charles Kuralt shows. He knew how to light the spark in the brains of kids – in Science and Math, and the absolute wonders of the world and Astronomy. It was his passion – and one he championed among those he taught.
When I was 14, he was the one that took me on fishing trips to get me out of the house, while my mom was going through the brutalities of Chemo – traveling a dead end street lined with 4 or 5 different simultaneous cancers. He sat me down in 1984 and said: “You know she doesn’t have much longer before the end comes.” Words I needed to hear out loud, as a jerk adolescent.
In 1979 or so, he was a Geology student of my fathers. He soon became one of my parents’ closest friends, and a true uncle figure for me – but also far MORE than an uncle. Never one to shy away from the truth, he taught me many good – and sometimes difficult lessons. He was a born scientist, and he always strove for truth in all things.
I owe a great deal of who I am as a man, to the teachings of James Steven Loeffler. My desire to learn… my sense of humor…humility…even elements of my laugh. He cooked. He gardened. He made people laugh nervously, even when they knew the jokes were a little too dirty for polite company.
He was (as my mother so aptly put it) “…beautiful until he opened his mouth to speak.”
I know you had your battles James, and you didn’t win every one. But I am honored to have shared some very special time on this planet with you. God Speed. I hope you and Kim (and my parents; Art and Helen,) are whooping it up and telling good stories long into the never-ending night. You were loved my friend.
Sending sincere condolences to Jim’s entire family . I met Jim in my freshman year of college at Edinboro State College ( now Edinboro University) We met when I joined The Ski Patrol at Mount Pleasant. We became best friends very quickly and were inseparable during my four years at Edinboro. We shared so many good times and happy memories on our skis, bikes and with our friends. Jim helped, supported and” tutored” me in science and typed all of my papers for me( long before PC’s and laptops). Jim was an incredible and gifted teacher and was loved by his fellow teachers and students. He was a thoughtful, loyal and amazing friend and a kind and gentle soul. May his memory be a blessing.
We are so saddened to hear this news. Randy was such a great person, great friend and excellent contractor. We here at Belfor Property Restoration will truly miss him. Our deepest condolences to his wife and family.
You will be deeply missed Uncle John! The kids and I love you and hope you are having fun in heaven with Mom Mom and my Dad! Love you and will miss you forever! Until we meet again!
My sincerest sympathy goes out to the Thompson family. Bob was such a wonderful man. It was such a pleasure to know him and his beloved wife. He greeted me and my husband every Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers continue for all of you. Blessed in so many ways to have known Marcel. She is truly an angel and we will miss her. Love you all.
Thinking of all of the Dibbles and Finchers and of Marcel, who was beautiful inside and out, with a gift for laughter, adventure, family, and friends, as well as being an artist and art educator who touched so many lives. I was lucky to be a part of it over the many years, always full of laughter, starting in the early 1980’s in Athens through our last conversation two months ago, She will always be in my heart.
With love and remembrance,
Lauren

My father, Larry Rosenthal, was Pete’s cousin. My Dad passed on 3/4/21 also at 82 years old. My father would tell me stories about how he and Pete moved from Galena and rented an apartment in Park Ridge, IL. Dad had so many fond memories of him and Pete living in the suburbs of Chicago. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Dawn, I have just learned of your loss. I am so very sorry as I remember David as a kind, humorous and dependable person. While I have not seen you in some time, it seems like yesterday that you came to work with HLCRE and were such a joy to see each day at our front desk. That, or course, led to your meeting David and the rest is history. The two of you had so many wonderful years together and I am very happy for that. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Bob
A great man that will be missed. This man taught me alot in life on how to be a man and most of the things In life I enjoy. Well never forgot you and already missed those calls.
Barbara and I extend our condolences to Marty and the family. We knew Robert for many years and shared membership at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Robert was an active member of the church and we shared many hours together supporting the church family. We will miss him and his strong support for the church. We know the Good Lord welcomes his talent and strong support for Jesus Christ.
Sorry for the loss. John was a amazing friend to us. We will always remember the good times that we had with him. He always was there to help out or just to talk with. He had became part of our family and was like a brother to me. RIP John, until we meet again.
My dear friend of 45 years I will miss you. All the great times we had together I will always cherish those memories from swimming at big orange country to skiing out west and everything in between there are so so many. I’ll never forget you. See you on the other side
We are very saddened by the great loss of the Dibble family; our hearts are broken. Marcel was a giver to all and didn’t expect anything in return. A look back at her life demonstrates her dedication to others, from teaching children her entire adult life to raising two of the most beautiful human beings I know, is proof of what a loving gift to life Marcel was. Time heals and memories fade but what you leave behind forever contributes to the positive legacy of life. Marcel’s left a great legacy through the children she taught, the people she touched and her own wonderful family. Peace and love to them all…
I am indeed saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a spiritual leader for the PRC gang that I was privileged to serve on. The world is,indeed, a darker place today.
I pray that they memory of the good times you shared will quickly grow to fill the void you feel today.
As a co-worker and friend of 29 years, Mike has left his footprints in my life. I will never forget all his kindnesses, wisdom and, of course, the laughs we shared over the years. He was a special person and words cannot describe how sorry I am at his loss. It is with deep sympathy that I offer my sincere condolences to you and your family.
Alice, Nick and family I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Mike Olenik for about 20 years. Mike was always full of fun, curiosity, creativity and compassion. As contractors, we visited many places and met many different people. Mike was first to reach out and embrace new folks and ideas. Together, he and Alice raised a beautiful family and were usually the center of the joyous and frenetic activities in their neighborhood. There seemed to be so much happening that it was almost scary, but they were there and in control. How incredible is that? But, best of all, Mike was a good and just man. I know I am not alone in saying that He will be missed. We need men and families like this in our lives. Thanks, Mike and Alice, for sharing.
I was a good friend of Steve’s for many years. We worked along side each other, played golf together, and we talked outside of that about the Lord. Steve was a wonderful man, always had a smile on his face and could make any person laugh he was around. He is definitely missed for sure. My condolences go out to all Steve’s family in this time of mourning. We know he is playing golf 24/7 in heaven now with that never forgotten smile on his face.
I am another golfing buddy of Steve’s, fortunate to have known him. Steve was a good kind hearted guy, and all of his ‘Us Boys’ golf buddies share in your sorrow. As Steve would do, with love and friendship, please accept our deepest condolences.
Alice and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mike. What a wonderful person. His videos will always be a part of our lives. His kindness and smile will always be remembered. My heart hurts for your loss.
You are in our thoughts and prayers, forever.
Love,
Joan Simon

To the family of Mr. Fred Whitaker, I would like to send my condolences and thank you for sharing your love one . He was a awesome man who would put a smile on your face when you was feeling down and out.He would grab his Bible and began to share the word . I pray that God comfort you and strengthen you in your weakest moments. Thinking of you. Adrian
I know there are no words that provide the comfort you need right now; just know that I care. My condolences to your family on the loss of your dear brother.
My prayers and condolences go out to Steve’s family. As ponder over all the good times we had on the golf course and the friendship that we shared, Steve is truly missed. Our Myrtle Beach Trip will never be the same without that rustic 7-Wood…!!! Rest in Peace my Brother Steve.
Life is only too short if you haven’t lived every day you were given. Michael Olenik was a giant among humans. He lived every single day to the fullest. This man loved his family, friends, community and mankind. Michael was always there with confidence. He sought to give assistance. People turned to him for guidance. He found the love of his life, Alice, and lived life loving her and their children and grandchildren. He lived with honor, respect for all, generosity and care for other people. He will be missed by so many. Rest in piece my friend.
I have fond memories of Jackie from our many shared experiences at Unity Renaissance and Alex Then”s Healing Circles. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say to everyone. I was saddened to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to Judy and all of her family. Her light still shines.
My brother, death may have taken you away from this physical soil, but I will not let time fade the memories of you. So rest well, and I pray that you are in peace. Glory to God! Amen!
Willis, today I learned of your passing. I remember the bicycle rides and wrecks. The cigars and the tall tales..and all of the fun we had. I remember how we became fast friends, argued, and laughed. You were a great friend and I will always remember you. Sleep well and rest easy my friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Dibble and Fincher families during this difficult time. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Marcel. She was such a special person to so many! From the first time I met her in Germany, until the last time I saw her in Virginia, she always brightened my day and filled the room with sunshine and laughter! She was such a talented educator and artist, but best of all she knew how to be a good friend. One of my fondest memories of Marcel is when we took a little trip from Germany to London, England to meet up with our men, whom were there on a cross country! Riding in the back of a British black cab on the wrong side of the road was a hilarious adventure with Marcel, Lisa Olsen, and me! I have never laughed so hard! Then of course, we girls wanted to tour art museums, while the boys wanted to go to the war museum! We shared so many laughs that weekend. Marcel and I were both expecting our first child on that trip as well! She loved her family and friends!
Marcel has left warm memories, and a beautiful legacy to all that her life touched. Her spirit will live on in our hearts.
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the broken hearted.
My heart breaks for the loss of Steve and for his family. I always felt he was family to me. May God wrap His arms around each of you and keep you in His care.
You gave me the most wonderful life I could ever imagine and it will be forever changed without you. Your love and memories will carry me until we are together again. You are with our son Chris and I know y’all are looking over us. I promise you I’ll be ok. It may take me awhile but I’ll get there. Love you forever.
Dear Alice,
I am so saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. I have such fond memories of our adventures together. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Debbie
Noreen is a cherished and loving gift to all of us, especially her family. I will not say “was”, as her spirit lives on in all of those whose lives she touched. In life, she was a powerful, humble, generous and loving woman, and so very gentle. I admired her tenacity and loved our friendship. Always smiling and not just with her lips but with that twinkle in her eyes.
Her presence will be especially and sorely missed by you, her dear family, and I shall also,
In God’s loving arms, she will hear: “Well done my child”…
To my Friend Kurzee and her Family,
Words are not coming when I think of “Pops”, but there are many wonderful “Green Beans” memories of him and his humor! He was, indeed, one of the best “girls” when we would go out! He had the humor (and occasionally even agreed) when we “man bashed” and vented in general. The party started when he arrived! He was a lovely, gentle man. We will miss him but know that he is in a much better place. Love you, xoxo, fifi
Even to this day, I smile at one of our adventures.
I heard about an Augustus Saint Gauden’s Sculpture exhibit about two hours from Portsmouth. At this time, Noreen had a bit of a problem walking on uneven surfaces. Most all of the sculptures were spread out on grassy knolls to be observed. She politely and generously told me to go on ahead and she would simply sit in the shade.
You have got to be kidding, no way was I going to do that. We did not come all this way for her to sit and not see these magnificent pieces of art, which she enjoyed. I asked her to get back in the car and without permission from the museum, drove her around on the lawns and grassy knolls, with her laughing all the way. Yes, we were stopped at one point, but after a courteous explanation, we were allowed to continue driving on the lawn.. We even stopped every so often and she was able to walk up closely to see the magnificent pieces on display. It was a fun day!.
It was a pleasure to get to know Mike. His commitment to doing good was one thing I admired most about him. Having him on my plunge team was an honor. I always knew that with the Alice and Mike team, I didn’t need to worry, all was under control. My heart aches for you.
May God grant you always…
a sunbeam to warm you,
a moonbeam to charm you,
a sheltering Angel
so nothing can harm you.
Laughter to cheer you,
faithful friends near you,
and whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you.
Condolences & prayers to Justin, Katlyn, the grandkids & the Crowder family. I met Steve working for Shopsmith and developed a grand friendship thru our employment sharing ups and downs on the golf courses, Thanksgiving events, sales and beyond. A great friend over the years, sharing those times teasing each other about our prowess on a golf course or sales, Steve being the “better” in sales. Face time during his last days were memorable. I can still hear his laugh and his drawl as I put down these words. I am happy that he is no longer suffering, but I will miss his jovial conversations. Loved the guy for his truthfulness and being a true friend over the years. May he Rest In Peace, now and forever. Hit ‘em long and putt straight, Steve on whatever cloud you’re playing. You’re flying now.
Dear Melanie,
I am so sorry for the loss of Kent in 2015. I know this condolence is out of the blue, but I have been searching for some time for him and his family. It saddens me that I’m too late. I pray that my message finds you at peace and doing well.

I am Uncle Cecil’s daughter.
I am so very sad to learn of her passing.
I had lost touch with her, and thought about her frequently.
Much love to all of your family.
Gone too soon but never to be forgotten. My dear friend and neighbor, you saw the world in such a unique and valuable way. And you taught me so much. Lakeside seems empty without you.
Cousins,
We are so sorry for your loss. Noreen was a very special lady and will be missed. We all have another angel looking down on us.
XoXo,
Vince, Angela, Dominic & Natalie Contini
We moved into the house next door to the Shoemaker’s in 1969… Ms. Shoemaker was ALWAYS so very nice to me growing up and in later years. It is so sad to here about this and my prayers are with the family… Rest In Peace Ms. Shoemaker… a very special person is now in heaven and will no longer suffer…
I am so sorry for the Shumaker’s loss.your wife and mom was definitely a strong willed woman, she spoke her mind for sure. She loved her boys, nothing could come between her and her sons. They would argue hard in the day and she would turn around make them some good dinners & a six pack of budweiser. I do miss her laugh she was tough. I really feel sad for her husband, they were so different in personality but loved each other dearly. Love you all, Lisa Ricketts
Sincere condolences. I just didn’t know. Scotty was a good hearted friend when I lived in the neighborhood. Edie, I am so sorry to hear. Much love to you all.
Lois was as sweet and caring as she was strong. She was such a joy to work with and have as a friend. I could always talk with her about work and my personal life. She was always encouraging and made you feel like you had a strong supporter. Her strength over the last several years has been inspiring. When we would talk on the phone, she was always cheerful despite the struggles. I will cherish her friendship.
My prayers go out to the family for the loss of an awesome mother and grandmother. You probably already know this, but she was well loved.
Dear Friend Ann,
My heart aches for you with Bill’s passing to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
May his life be eternal and may our precious Lord bring you peace.
Love and Blessings , Nell and Wayne

I am very sorry to hear of Steve’s passing.
I have known him since our days at Warwick High School, although since then I only saw him at class reunions. Steve excelled in academics, sports, and was well-liked by his peers.
I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and to those who loved him.
I hope that warm memories of time spent with Steve bring them comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Jane (Renn) Eadie
Judy was such an energetic, caring presence at Star of the Sea school when Jim and her children attended the school. I remember working with her when I taught Patricia and Lisa. May her family find consolation in knowing how highly she was regarded and respected by other parents and teachers during those years. A woman of deep faith, she guided her children by her unassuming yet constant following of the Lord.
Phyllis,
Sending our heartfelt condolences for your loss.
We remember Lenny’s wry humor, good nature and excellence in medicine, and always think of him whenever we pass by your old house in Middle Plantation.
Lenny touched the lives of many, and is surely missed.
Rick and Lois
I am so glad that I had the privilege to work with Dr. Dunford in the Minor Care at Sentara Bayside and Princess Anne. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed all the great stories he used to tell us about his past as a Doctor. He always treated his Patients with kindness and especially the Children making sure they had a sticker before they left the ER. To the Family I am deeply sorry for your loss and God Bless all of you. Dr. D may you Rest In Peace.
I had the honor of serving under then Commander Bob Byng in Attack Squadron 34, stationed at Naval Air Station, Oceana Virginia. I was a squadron pilot and enjoyed the quiet yet firm leadership he exhibited. He had a way of extracting the best performance from his aircrews and squadron personnel without being harsh or demanding. His leadership set an example for me as I progressed in my career. Captain Byng will be missed.
GONNA MISS YOU DEAR BROTHER IF I DIDN’T GET TO SEE MUCH OF YOU. WE HAD SOME GOOD TIMES GROWING UP. I will miss Flo so much. She had a great listening ear. We shared our family joys and sorrows through the years. She loved her family dearly and talked about them often. She also loved her students and was the one who could calm any of them who needed some understanding. She was an extremely hard worker who never complained about any task set before her. She was great at her job and it was an honor to work with her. She enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. She always greeted everyone with a smile whether they deserved it or not. I will always remember her and our friendship. Her loss has left a hole in my heart.
“Lenny” was one of my early mentors and a true friend , personable, always congenial and light-hearted, first met him in Richmond at VACEP meeting, became good friends, then partners in lengthy career in emergency medicine with E.P.T.. I will always have fond memories of our friendship and work related stories.
I have known Steve and his whole family most of my life. Our parents new each other before we were born. We only lived a couple of blocks from each other growing up and we spent a lot of time playing a lot of neighborhood sports and other activities together. Steve was a great friend and as nice a person as you would ever know. He will be missed.
Bill was a wonderful man who taught me a bunch when it came to Amateur Radio. He was a top notch technical expert in his field and was always available for advice with his vast knowledge. We in the Williamsburg Area Amateur Radio Club will miss him dearly. Farewell Bill NR4C SK
I was saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. I have worked with Bill in NASA Spectrum Management for over 10 years and he has always been the consummate professional, dedicated NASA Spectrum contributor, and a friendly person. He has always been helpful to anyone who sought his knowledge and vast experience. Bill’s presence will be missed, but his memory will live on. May God bless his family, friends, and loved ones and provide comfort to them in these difficult days.
Bill was always quite a character with his quirky sense of humor. I do remember the black and white photography he did. He took a picture of me years ago and I have to say it was really good. We will miss you,
Hi folks – Although I suspected Marcia didn’t have much time left, I never expected her demise would have happened so soon. My husband also suffered from lymphoma and died within a few months of diagnosis just last year.
Marcia was a treasured volunteer at Seconds Unlimited for years. Up until my retirement in 2019, she continued to work to the best of her ability.
I’ll always miss Noreen. We had been friends since early 70’s. Hiking, walking, visits and phone calls. She was ALWAYS easy to be with. We had many laughs, teas and remembrances. She’d simply drop by and make herself comfortable. Food and beds made no difference to her, it was the company she would seek. And, Thanks to John, we got to see each other one last time here in MA. at the Concord Inn. YOUR presence will be MISSED, my dear Noreen. Love you forever and ever, Nora
I’m so sorry to hear of Dr. D’s passing. I always enjoyed working with him. I always loved arriving at work to see that he and I would be teaming up to run the minor care section. I knew our patients would be well-taken care of and in a timely manner. He was wise and witty. And boy, was he proud of his kids. My thoughts are with Dr. Bragg and the rest of the family. May you soon find comfort in the good memories. ❤️
I will always will remember Aunt Noreen. She was a free spirit in her time, always loving and caring to everyone. My fondest memory is visiting her and cousins Don, John and Kathleen when we were young adults. She opened her house to me and my wife and showed us a wonderful time during our visit with her.
During her visits it’s my Mom she always asked about the people in our lives and how they were doing; always expressing love and concern to everyone. She will be deeply missed.
Family thinks he was divorced when he died, because he lied to them. I’m still actively his surviving spouse. No paperwork was ever filed on either of our behalf.
Extending our condolences.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls
of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
Praying for comfort and peace for our Elopre family. You are loved and missed by many, Uncle Gordy. May you find everlasting peace and happiness, rejoicing in Heaven, as you are no longer suffering, and instead, finally reunited with cousin Lilet and Lolo & Lola.
Extending heartfelt sympathy on behalf of Intrepid Hospice. Thanking you for allowing us to be a part of Mr. Neal’s care team and know that each of you are in our prayers and in our hearts.
Our deepest condolences to Daphne and family on the loss of your Beloved Mark. He will be remembered and sorely missed by many. May the good LORD provide you with comfort and strength now and always.
Brent and Stacey, just wanted to say I’m sorry for your loss. Love and prayers sent to you both and to your family. May he forever Rest In Peace. Love yall
I first met Steve when he was an account executive at CBN and I was a very young media buyer at my dad’s ad agency. When he became a commercial photographer I was fortunate to work with him on numerous projects. He had such a quiet, but confident demeanor about him. I knew of his illness when he was diagnosed and missed getting to work with him very much. My condolences go out to his family.
If you left here without a goodbye it makes my heart sad. I am so sorry…I didn’t even know. To Janet’s family….I pray the grace of God keeps you and has kept you. Janet was a blessing and great spirit to be around. She was a fireball before her stroke and kept us all on our toes. She will be missed. Know that she a special person that will never be forgotten.
Mike was a sweet man! He will be truly missed. I appreciate his dedicated service to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Prayers to Alice and family and friends.
So sorry to hear about Bill. We hadn’t crossed paths in many years, but he was a great friend of my Dad’s and our family when I was a teenager. I still have some B&W pictures that Bill took of me and my sister when we were in high school. He will be missed.
Joe and I shared many memorable events with Bill. It was always a fun and informational experience. He will be greatly missed. May God be with you and your family and help you to move forward in life remembering all the good times.

Chris was the best coworker. He knew we both got excited by technology, using Sketchup and fast computers. He took all news, good and bad, with grace and was a pleasure to work with. Rest In Peace, friend.
I only had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Ramey only once or twice but that was all the time needed to know she was a wonderful person. She was blessed with a wonderful and caring family.
Mary loved her family. Was an example of leadership for her many friends in the Republican Party. Over the years we shared a lot of laughs and a few tears. I will miss her
Mary was one of the kindest women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She was always so good to me and my family. She will be truly missed.
RIP Mary, you are home.
The first time I met Charlie was at Jack and Regina’s house in Virginia Beach. Sometime during the gathering Charlie and I found ourselves on the front porch smoking a cigar and drinking whiskey. We had an immediate connection and we stayed on the porch and laughed and shared stories for most of the evening. He was very much like me in that we don’t share our feelings or appreciation of other people very well, but I could tell he loved his family and friends very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and his whole family. Rest In Peace my friend.
I remember when we we’re looking for houses in Delaware and we started looking in the Wynn Wood Subdivision and we found the house we fell in love with, and I remember the day when we met Charlie he was just so helpful, loving and very caring, he made us laugh all the time, I always called him my own personal security, cause, when we’re moving back and forth, he would always tell us don’t worry about anything, I got it all under control, that just touched our hearts, cause he just made us feel like family, not just neighbors and he always lend a helping hand when anyone was ever in need, Charlie will be truly miss, and to his beautiful wife Cindy, we love you and we are forever here, if you ever need us, and to his loving children, thank you all for sharing your dear beloved father with us all, love you and forever in our hearts and Prayers ?????????
We are so sorry for your family’s loss. I remember Martina as kind and funny. She took me along on a part-time job catering in Virginia Beach and I got to know her better. What I remember is how much she loved her family.
I am so sorry to hear about Mary’s passing. She was a wonderful and beautiful lady and was always kind and thoughtful to every one. It has been a long time since I have seen her. I now live in Texas.I will always remember her as a kind and gentle lady.
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was one of the greatest lady I have known. When she became home bound my Daughter Sherry and I would go visit with her. She was a joy to talk with we enjoyed every minute with her. I would bake her banana nut bread she loved that. Her care given was always so pleasant on our visits. Especially the one name Mary. She will be greatly missed by all. We sure did miss her when she was not able to go to our Red Hat Lunchs. Nancy may you rest in piece. You are now with Darryll. God Speed love and miss you.
Mary
.
Bob and I were so saddened to learn of Mary’s passing. Her friendship meant a great deal to both of us and we cherished the infrequent times that we could get together. Our yearly trips to VA Beach would not have been the same without our annual lunch at Bubba’s. Mary was a lady in every sense of the word. Her infectious laugh and her good council were very welcome. We will miss her and remember her fondly. Our hearth felt sympathy goes out to all of her family. We loved her as a dear friend and are so glad we got to meet her children and grandchildren.
Laura, Kathleen, Robert and Family, Thinking of you. Praying God will provide peace and comfort to each of you during this difficult time and for the days to come. Love, Juanita

Noreen and I met as neighbors in the late 60’s. She was a kind, intelligent, free spirited longtime friend. She introduced me to hosteling on a trip to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket in the 80’s. It was a wonderful experience and a lot of fun. She will always be remembered.
To Tanna’s dear ones,
Condolences from all of us at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. We were terribly saddened to hear of Tanna’s passing. Those of us who were here when Tanna was a member of our team remember her with fondness. She has left the world too soon and we send our deepest sympathy.

It is said that time heals all wounds; It’s not time, it’s love. I pray our God, the God of the greatest love, heals your broken hearts.
Charlie was a one of a kind, all round great person.
My deepest sympathies to you all, the family he loved and adored.
Suzie Werman
Our deepest and most respectful condolences. So many hearts and lives were touched through her service to others. Seeds of love have been sown and have bloomed through her family and friends. Her influence and devotion to Jesus now lives on through them to touch thousands more. From the Lanier’s to the Tung’s, Our love and prayers are with you all.
Nancy and I were classmates at NCHS. I remember her being very popular in school. After many years, we reconnected planning high school reunions and Red Hat Society chapter, which Nancy loved so much. She is admired for her bravery and determination during her adult life with a dreaded disability. Always smiling and upbeat, she will be remembered for her sunny disposition. May she rest in peace.
I will break the ice ……. thank you for the companionship, early morning talks and treats, belly rubs, and getting me hooked on tuna. My life hit the jackpot when you finally let me in the door and laid down ground rules (a story many have heard, no doubt). Miss ya bud
It is a truly sad moment for all of us in the Felten/Felton clans at the loss of Donnie. It had been so long since we last saw each other, but we will remember his brashness and bravado when we cousins were much younger, and his affable style and laughter too. If Covid had not canceled our planned Felten/Felton reunion last year, who knows, we might have had the opportunity to see each other again. Another reason not to take for granted each day or opportunity that comes our way.
Thank you too, Donnie, for your time in service to our nation. We are grateful. God Bless you, until we meet again.
Chris and Colanne Schwemlein
I just found out about Richard’s passing and am so sorry for your loss. I waited on the retirees group at Golden Corral for years and always looked forward to seeing everyone each month, especially Richard, Connie and Mom. They kindly invited me to their picnics and made me feel at home, even letting me win at bingo. You will be missed – my thoughts and prayers to your loved ones.
I knew Donnie somewhat distantly at first through my acquaintance with his mother Audrey and his sister Irene. Since he moved in with Irene back in October, I’ve gotten to know him better.
Donnie has always impressed me as very knowledgeable in many areas. Whether the subject matter was auto repair, computer issues, medical concerns, or other subjects we have discussed, he impressed me as a treasure chest of knowledge on par with HowStuffWork.com! But for all the mental acumen, he was very personable and caring. He was generous with sincere compliments and was always approachable. He loved to affirm other people who were in need of encouragement and quick to see their worth. He was very patient with people who had personal struggles.
Being a person of faith, the thing that most impressed me was Donnie’s transparent and sincere faith in God and the renewal of his early Christian faith. Some of his Facebook posts reveal the passion he had for social justice—a subject prominent in Scripture. I remember the Saturday morning when he sat down with me at Irene’s house and had an open, honest, probing, and sincere discussion of Scripture. More than once, when I was dealing with potentially stressful situations, I learned through Irene that he was praying for me.
Speaking of prayer, when Irene went upstairs to check on Donnie and found he had left this world, he was in a perfect kneeling posture. As I do not see how anyone would fall into a perfect kneeling position, I can’t help but believe that he left this world in prayer.
I would like to have gotten to know Donnie better. I’ve learned a lot about him that I did not know just by reading posts to this forum. But, we will meet again. And, to snatch a phrase from the apostle Paul, then “We will know [each other] even as we are known.” I look forward to seeing him again in heaven.
Steven and Brian, we send our sympathies for the loss of your Mother. You were blessed to have such a caring lady to call Mother. Our prayers are with you.
Warmest thoughts and prayers to the family. I was looking forward to meeting you, Irene.. he spoke so highly of you. I am heartbroken.. I was seeing Don and we shared something very special. I just knew when I didn’t hear back from his morning message that something happened. You are forever in my heart, Don.. I will miss you more than words can say. You touched my life and showed me how love really feels. I love you and I’ll miss you dearly.
Tommy, Becky, and Timmy,
Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your mom’s life. I shared a lot of love and laughs with her, and she will always be a light in my heart.
My all of you carry your memories of your Mom forever.
We miss Pat dearly. Our heartfelt sympathy to the family at this trying time. We had many great times with Pat over many years. Now we know he has taken up residence with another friend, Our Lord!
The sweetest woman ever she was very dear to me! my mom says I took my first steps as a baby in her house. I will never forget how she loved others as Jesus loves us. God bless all the family. Love you Auntie?
Love,Molly
I love you Danny and miss you so much. I still can’t believe it and it hurts so bad to know that I can’t talk or see you again. I will cherish your memory and you were the best uncle danny for madisen , tristen, and brayden. I love you sooo much little “big” bro and I will see you again. Take care of Jaxsen for me up there. I know you were welcomed up there by nana and grandaddy and sean…its amazing to know how many people loved you here…Love your sis Melanie….aka grandma mom as you called me
Sarah, Kansas and Kelly, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your Dad. I know how much you all loved him, and I know you all meant everything to him. You each carry a little piece of him with you always.
Extending my heartfelt condolences, Martina will hold a place in my memories.
A great friend and mentor, served the students of Tidewater Park Elementary in a loving caring manner. We shared that love of reading and family.
Keeping the family in prayer. May God continue to hold you high, find comfort in the memories.
My deepest sympathies go out to Kim and family. Ronnie was very special to me. We worked together for over 40 years and played a lot of golf and softball games. Ronnie was a very impressive athlete excelling in basketball, golf and baseball and had one of the best throwing arms I’ve ever seen. We had lots of plans to play golf on our retirement and every time I play Ronnie will be in my heart.
My memories start the first time I met him in El Paso. He was an imp who thought it was funny to remove the screws from his playpen causing it to collapse. Next time was in Marlboro. The imp rose again when he climbed out of his crib and went to our neighbor Terry’s house. She called and asked if we knew where Donnie was to which my sister answered in his crib and she said no he’s not he is here. Next time my sister was folding clothes and taking them to the appropriate bedrooms.. She got suspicious of Donnie because she thought she was folding the same clothes she already folded so she asked me to watch him. Sure enough he was following her and taking the clothes out of the room and putting them back in the basket. He was a tease. He also liked me to take his picture with my polaroid camera so I would take his picture in his crib with him standing in his crib to get him to take a nap. Then there is that great picture of him standing on the couch in his pajamas with his arms stretched out with that beautiful impish smile. We took that picture because he was sad that he couldn’t go with his parents and Irene to Joseph’s cub scout event. Then there was the loving caring Donnie who took my son Christopher under his wings because Joseph,my son, told him he was worried about Christopher. He got Christopher interested in working out. He was always precious to me. I loved the fact that he knew there would always be a present for him at his mothers at Christmas. SO that was my Donnie. I thought I was going to see him this coming Christmas but his daddy wanted him to come home and be with his mother and I couldn’t be happier for him. This the loving, caring, impish, teasing Donnie who I knew and loved.
I haven’t had the opportunity to meet Ronald, but from what Abby has told me, he sounded like an amazing and caring father. My thoughts go out to the family.
Courtney, Cameron and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a srong woman and a very loving and caring mom and grandmother. She was so proud of all of you. I wish she had let us know she was not doing well but I also understand it. She will be missed by us all. My prayers are with all of you. Cherish your memories.
Dear Dave, Dan, Ted and family; I was so very sorry to read in the paper about your mom. I remember as children playing at each others homes. All of you coming over to my house to play basketball. Then, years later your mom registered me for the Professional Class at The Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. I had already worked many years as an LPN and I think she was very proud that I was getting my RN. I loved both your mom and dad. You know all of us from Coates Elementary School that grew up together and our parents became friends as much as we were friends, it’s not difficult to love each others parents. They almost become second parents to each of us.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through these next sad weeks and months ahead. I pray The Lord will surround you all with His loving arms during this time.
Thinking of you all.
Much love.
Billie Carter Wyatt
Donnie……I mean, ahem…… Don! Boy am I going to miss our long talks. I’m going to miss your advice! I’m going to miss your encouragement! You were an awesome cousin, and we were definitely related, somethings only funny to us, and probably would have had us admitted into the psych ward if folks heard that humor!
I’m going to miss you, and I look forward to seeing you again! It’s not goodbye, it’s see ya later, gator! You we’re definitely one of a kind!
My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and other side of the family that I have never met! We all must carry on and tease each other as Donnie teased us!
I’m so very sorry for your loss and another loss in our family. Though it doesn’t replace the physical presence of his love at least he’s with our Lord and other family members and will now be at rest.
I have known Ron for many years at NNS. He became my manager a few years ago. I had much respect for his work ethic. I have certainly missed his presence in the office. My prayers are being offered to his wife and family and my sincerest condolences.

My condolences to Ron’s family for your loss. Ron and I worked together for many years. He was always a great guy to work with and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may he rest in peace. Kelly Brown
Our condolences go out to Patti and grandchildren on the loss of your Dad and grandfather. “Pat” and I hung out for many years along with “ Jules”, we had the best times together. Rest In Peace brother.
My family had the pleasure of knowing Buster for years starting when he worked at Patriot Chev in Williamsburg as a bodyman with Eddie English; they also had a shop together, he said Buster taught him everything he new and that he was the best in Williamsburg. We have a lot of good memories (including him washing and shinning up whatever car he had at the time). So very sorry for your loss
My deepest sympathies to Kim and family during this difficult time. I have known Ron for many years as a coworker at NNS of both mine and my husband’s, Max Baer. They also played softball and golfed together and Ron was there for Max during his last days. Whether it was at work or play, Ron always had a strong determination to succeed and the preservance to make it happen. I’m sure that served him well in this last and toughest battle. I will always remember him fondly for his help in taking Max to his chemo treatments and the unwavering friendship and support he gave him during those tough times.
Hugs and prayers for Marsha and family Mr Buster was such a sweet man It was a.honor to know him he was very special to me and my family We loved him and he will be missed We will cherish the memories we had with him. Rest in.peace Mr Buster we love you
I can’t tell you how much Uncle Buster meant to me. We shared a very special bond together. He has been in my life since the day that I was born. Now he’s gone but I know where to find him he is in my heart. Buffy I can’t begin to understand how you are handling this. I wish I could reach out and give you a hug but don’t ever forget how much he loved you and the same as me look to your heart.
We were neighbors on West Kingston Lane 40 years ago. Auntie and Uncle Ben watched our two older children Jeff and Jenny when I worked evenings at Norfolk General. My husband Ray was usually away with the Navy. Jeff remembers the butterscotch candies Ben always had and Jen remembers going to the hairdresser with Auntie and Becky’s wedding. Both agreed she was the very best cook. Ben and Thelma were the best caring for the kids with love and kindness.
Fred was the chaplain on the USS SIMON LAKE when I joined the crew in 1986. As we changed homeports to Holy Loch, Scotland, he quickly became one of my favorite shipmates, and I believe that sentiment was shared by everyone. Fred’s faith, sense of humor and ability to connect with those in need of spiritual guidance, or just a good friend, made him such a special person. He left Nancy and his children behind for that tour, and he missed them so much. He loved to tell us about his family, his face would light up with every story he told. Fred and I kept in touch sporadically over the last 35 years, and it was such fun to reminisce about old times. I find myself doing that now, and I can’t help but smile and be grateful for the privilege of having known him as I remember what a character he was. Blessings to the Archer family during this difficult time. May your sweet memories of Fred give you peace. ♥️
My deepest sympathies to Bryan, Sharyn and all of Flo’s family. Flo was a friend, neighbor and (for a while) roommate to me. Though we had not been close for many years, she walked with me through some tough times. Today, I remember her fondly and with deep gratitude for her friendship. Bless you all.
I was sorry to hear of Fred’s death. As an Interim Pastor for the presbytery, I was active in the biblical storytellers group with Fred as the convener.. I enjoyed “telling” with Fred & others at churches & nursing facilities. I was also the Interim at Coleman Place after Fred retired. Fred was a friend & I will always remember him with fondness. May God uphold you & the rest of the family in your time of remembrance & grief. Christ’s love & comfort be with you. Robin Wooddell
The news of Fred’s passing saddens me deeply. I knew him through his long relationship with the Network of Biblical Storytellers. Fred’s greeting and bear hug were always eagerly anticipated. His smile could light up a room and his laugh could lift the lowest of spirits. He was a great storyteller — of many genres! — and I appreciate his willingness to help me out in my freelance storytelling career by securing gigs for me at his church as well as for a larger Presbyterian audience at Bonclarken Conference Center. The world is a little less bright now with his absence. RIP, Fred, and thanks for the stories, the laughs, and the support.
Pat, I will miss your words of welcome at the club and the good times we shared at the special corner of the bar. You always encouraged me to do my best as an Auxiliary member, and I appreciate that. Keith will never forget the ranting you and Bob Frietag did every time he came to the Eagles club – you made him laugh always! One last Cheers to you, Pat!
Irwin, Marjorie,Benjamin, and all the family,
Greg and I are so very sorry for your loss. We also feel a great loss with the Janna’s passing.
Peace be with you all
Love ,
Maggie and Greg Polites
William, my deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss. What a wonderful tribute; I feel I got to know Julie, at least a little, through your words. I hope you are able to find comfort in the memories of the joy and love you both shared. It is obvious Julie was a bright light in your life.
i rememder every day at school after lunch when u would hug me and i would feel safe , warmth , love and i knew that was one of my most favorite things and i wish i could feel that from u one more time i love u uncle mahal kita ❤️
William,
I don’t know you personally but Sarah always speaks highly of you. When she told us how ill your wife was my heart ached for you. I can tell from your tribute what a wonderful person she was and how much you loved her.
God’s blessings and prayers for you and your family. Prayers for your continued recovery.
I spent alot of time with you. Home, Dr. Office, Traveling. We always had fun in the Sun. Florida, Virginia, New York, North Carolina. Casinos in Atlantic City & Boardwalk. Those Memories are Forevered Cherished. Your Last, Girl Standing! Makeda & Preston Lindsey
I was very saddened to hear of Sherise’s passing. I remember when she was born and some of her childhood. I am asking Divine comfort for Myra and her family.
I was very sorry to read of Fred’s passing. I only knew him briefly, through the time that my late husband Neil and I attended the support group meetings for IPF. He was always so friendly and encouraging. I hope that he did not suffer much with his disease at the end of his long and well-lived life. May God hold each of his family members gently and may you each find peace in your faith and joy in your memories of Fred. With sincere condolences and prayers for your comfort.
Pat Walsh
She was always a lady by the “Golden Rule”. Unmatched class, and the sweetest lady I’ve ever known! She has left a beautiful legacy, and will be deeply missed.
Donna, KeShara, Erika & The Metropolitan Family on
We can’t believe Julie is no longer with us. She has helped us in so many ways here at Metropolitan Funeral Service as our HR Consultant. But she also felt like a friend. She was so funny and kept it real. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to go out on the boat with her for a ride like we planned. Her husband, mother, daughter and the rest of the family are all in our prayers. We will miss her so much.
Tommy, Becky, Timmy, And family, so many fond memories of growing up in the Thompson clan and Aunt Thelma and Uncle Ben were a wonderful and important part of the family. We still miss Uncle Ben and now Aunt Thelma has gone to be with him and their savior, Jesus christ. We hope to see them all in heaven and have a Thompson family reunion with Jesus! It will be rowdy of course and I don’t think Jesus Will mind. Sending you hugs and love and praying for your comfort in this time. Love you all, Sarah Ellon
Nicole was so dear to so many who loved her. I am thankful for her presence in my life and so many memories together. So much love to the Roberts family who always loved me so well.
David was a wonderful friend during my teenage years in the Oaklette neighborhood along Indian River Road in Chesapeake, VA during the mid 1950’s through the 1960’s. He had a very talented mind and like all of our close friends, a never ending interest in technology. I knew his family and cherish our memories in High School at Great Bridge. May the Grace of God be with him, his wife Jackie, his children and grandchildren and his siblings. David, you shall remain in my heart and mind for the rest of my life.
Thank you Memaw for the honor of being part of yours and Popus’ life. You accepted me into the family as your own. I will always treasure the memories of Thanksgiving when you made me that awesome lemon cake. Not only was the whole family usually there but also every person you knew and a few adopted strays that wandered in. You loved everyone with open arms and we loved you right back. I will miss you from this earth but looking forward to our celebration in eternity with the Lord. I know Popus is glad you are home with him.
Uncle Tommy, Aunt Becky and Timmy – my heart breaks for you. It’s a hard time in life when you lose a parent no matter what your age. Trust in the Lord at this time and know that he will carry you through. I’m here for all of you and love you very much. See you in January.
William, what a beautiful tribute to Julie. That’s the Julie I got to know when she started at WHRO in October 2017. We worked side by side and our office were next to each other. She was a great HR professional, we shared a lot, and I learned a lot working with her. She talked about her family who she loved so dearly. Not only was she a former co-worker but she was also a friend. My heart goes out to her family. May God tenderly comfort you and give the family strength to endure.
Julie supported our Museum Human Resource needs with a smile and earnest professionalism. She created a wonderful team building afternoon, her leadership was joyful, patient and generous. Julie is dearly missed. Our deepest sympathy to your family.
We are so sorry for the family’s loss, yet thankful that Nicole is once again whole and free from the pain of her disease. Nicole took care of my children when they were small. As my wife Debie often notes in her anecdotes, I was “at sea” when she needed help. Luckily Nicole was there to lend a hand. We are so lucky to have known such a beautiful person.
Like many others, I knew Fred through the Network of Biblical Storytellers. He was always such a positive, loving presence and I looked forward to greeting him every year. Fred took on the task of orienting new attendees to the annual Festival Gathering and he was perfectly suited for it. His personality was as friendly, accepting and welcoming as a Labrador puppy–truly so happy to greet everyone and play his part to help them feel a part of the larger group. (Knowing how much Fred loved his own dog, I’m hoping he would feel honored by the puppy reference.) The world is a less colorful place without you, Fred. I will miss you and extend heartfelt sympathy to Nancy and his family.
This morning I lost my great grandmother, my Meemaw. I spent most weekends of my youth over at her and Pawpaw’s house. When I was in the Navy and stationed on the USS Bainbridge, she let me live in a room upstairs when not at sea or on duty. Our special time together was going to the Lynnhaven Fish House, now closed, and ordering our favorite seafood. The fried seafood platter is what she enjoyed most. Meemaw always supported me and was proud of the things in life I pursued or accomplished. Meemaw was like a second mom to me and I will always miss her.
June was the most stylish, lovely, classiest woman I ever met. A true angel that blessed Earth with her presence and has now made Heaven even more beautiful.
All of us here at Bacon Street are so sad to hear of Julie’s passing. While we didn’t know her for very long, we are grateful we had the time we had with her.
Thank you for your service to our country, and special thanks for producing your great son Jim who is one of the best, most professional officers and now government civilians I’ve known! Sheila and I send our sincere condolences to the Sposato family!
Prayers of comfort to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sherice was a great mentor and friend when we worked together. She always had kind words of encouragement and a beautiful smile. When I was interim Manager, she would come to my office every morning to make sure I was prepared for the day. She even brought coffee. I will always remember her kind spirit and thoughtfulness. God bless you all during your time of bereavement.
Julie was a wonderful advocate for all the employees she interacted with. May peace be with you and your family as you celebrate her extraordinary life. Take care!
William, what a wonderful remembrance you wrote for Julie, she sounds like a wonderful person. It brought tears to my eyes.
I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for you.
If I can be of help in any way please let me know.
Kay
Growing up across the street from you, I always thought of you as “MY babysitter,” as if there may be other people who might care for me in my parents’ absence, but you held a place of honor because you were “MY babysitter.” Thanks for the happy memories, Nicole. And thanks for taking care of me. We will remember you with love.
To the Suggs Family, Wishing you the light of God’s love, the warmth of God’s blessings, and the comfort of God healing.Amen. Mrs.Suggs had the biggest and warmest smile and she will surely be missed. Be strong and keep the faith.God is ABLE. We love you.Calvin Taylor and Family.
I am so sorry about Brenda’s passing. She was my sister’s (Sue Pearce) best friend from high school. They shared a long lasting friendship. I remember Brenda very well and I remember her as a sweet soul that always have a smile on her face. My prayers for you and your family
Barbara Pearce Fox
I am so sorry to here of Vernon’s passing please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I have many fond memories of Vernon and Aunt Vera growing up and especially when they lived with us. Unfortunately over the years we only saw each other on rare occasions. I am so sorry but I am going to be out of town and will not be able to attend her service on May1st.
Brenda was such a wonderful person and so special to our family. She treated us like her family and took such good care of us. She was always thoughtful about the kids and what they were doing and seemed as proud as we were! Every Christmas she brought us some homemade goody. Chip always says her Pimento Cheese was the best he ever had. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
This breaks my heart to hear of his passing. He was a very good friend to me and we talked a lot when we were both having bad days.. He was very Special to me and I will never forget him..
Rest in peace my friend, now you have your LOVE there with you forever
Mrs. Brenda was an amazing person. She was always so kind to my family. Although I only knew her for a short time, she made a memorable impact on my life. She was truly a beautiful human being. I wish peace and love for her entire family. Rest In Peace.
Your faith in God and the amount of love you showed everyone will forever be in my heart. I don’t think there was a mean bone in your body. I’ll miss your smile and your infectious laugh. I love you ❤️
Deepest sympathy to the family and friends. I met Brenda when we worked at Avon Fashions. I will never forget the day that she received the phone call that they had a baby for her, I took that call and I was really excited for her. The last time I saw Brenda after many, many years was at the Farm Fresh in Smithfield she hadn’t changed a bit, she was just as nice as she was when I worked with her. She will be missed!
We exchanged a few FB messages recently after Julie went into ICU.
I prayed fervently for her recovery. I lost a son to cancer in December and know all too well the experience of being in the hospital with a loved one and being there when they take their last breath.
Know that I will continue to pray for Julie and the rest of her soul. I will pray for you and your family. Prayers received have helped me tremendously so I know how important it is as we learn to live with a hole in our hearts.
Many have shared memories of Julie with you. Mine are few but precious. As a fellow HR consultant, we met a couple of times to share experiences and talk HR stuff. We wanted to run a series of workshops together but the pandemic stopped those breakfasts and plans.
Julie had a keen sense of observation and a quick wit. She made a very apt comment last April when a slew of new HR laws came “Has anyone else felt like they took a Law degree in 2 weeks?” I used that image a few times with others as it was a very good description of what had happened to Hr professionals.
Finally, do you have plans for a memorial? I would like to attend.
As we now walk together on the path of grieving for loved ones lost too soon, I want to assure you of my sympathies.
My sincerest sympathies to Brenda’s family. I have many wonderful, warm memories of Brenda. We worked together for many years at Avon. Brenda was a very kind and generous person. May she rest in peace.
Julita, mi amor, te fuisteis tan pronto. Descansa en paz, te quiero mucho, mi querida hija, no es un adiós, es un hasta luego. Besos y abrazos de tu mami que te adora mucho.
Sherice was my first nursing manager. She encouraged me all the way through school and taught me how to maintain a healing environment for my patients. She was a caring soul and will be dearly missed. Prayers for peace and comfort to her loved ones❤
Brother Ralph, Brad, Megan, and all of Suggs family,
We were so sorry to hear about Sister Brenda’s passing. We love your family and always missed fellowshipping with you at Peninsula. We rest in the promise that we shall see Brenda again. In the presence of the Lord, She no longer suffers any pain or suffering.
Brother Ralph, you and all the family are in our prayers. God Bless.
I am truly sorry for your loss. Me and my family would like to offer our deepest and most sincere condolences to your family and may her precious soul rest in peace.
Judy and family,
Thinking of Frank brings such good memories. Thinking of Frank with you Judy, brings even more. You touched all of us, the two of you together, a perfect match. Our thoughts are with you and the happiness you showed us what it means to be in love.
Sincerely, The Iorizzo Family
We’re so sorry for your loss. Mary Louise was such a lovely person. She was always kind and gracious to everyone she met. We enjoyed her stories and time shared very much. Rest in comfort sweet Mary Louise.
Beloved Sarah. How I wish I had picked up the phone last week when you popped into my thoughts…. I’m certain you are in Heaven with your beloved son and dear mother. I remember you were at my house when you got the terrible news about Tony. I will miss just knowing you are there – one of the few people in this world who always sees good in everybody. We all love you, Sarah. .JENNIFER, MIKE & PHILLIP
Jim was a wonderful neighbor. Often I would see him walking a dog with a smile on his face. At his request I will hug my dog.
My sympathy to the family for their loss!
Was sorry to read of Vi passing. She was a wonderful lady. My mother Theresa Thurston , and I considered her a wonderful friend. Prayers of comfort to her family.
To the family: I am sending my deepest condolences for the passing of our Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated line sister (Lambda Eta, Spring ‘91) and my college roommate. We had such great and memorable times at our home away from home at ODU. She will be deeply missed. “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.”
❤️? Love you forever, Sherice! Rest now.❤️?
We are so sorry to learn of the passing of your beloved husband, Frank. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God’s love comfort all of you during this sad time.
Frank had a gift of making you feel better when you were in his presence
He could be having a bad but you would never know, always a smile and
he was glad to see you, so your bad day was gone…you walked away with
a smile
Staci, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how hard this time is for you and your family. Please know that I’m here for you if you need anything. He will forever be in your thoughts and the love you have for him will always be in your heart. As days go by you will see simple things that will remind you of him — just know these simple things are his way of letting you know — he’s never far away. Hugs and Love.
The Williams family always made me feel welcomed and treated me like a daughter. There are so many fun memories like when he would pick us up from a concert and take us to Shoney’s to eat soup and salad. Irwin’s pharmacy where he would sit at the soda bar and talk and everyone knew who was. He was friends with everyone. Johnny really did teach us to enjoy the little things in life. Praying for peace and comfort for all of his family and friends.
Bill was just one of a kind! Bill would be the only older sibling who would talk to us seriously about anything, then laugh and carry on with us! What a joy to run into him at VT and catch up on all the happenings in the family and his new educational adventures! The last time we saw him was at Rick’s retirement ceremony and he, like us scooted away before the fanfare-crowds weren’t usually our thing. He was such a brilliant man, funny, and always knew something to say(brilliantly witty!). Whoever wrote this obituary hit the nail on the head, beautifully written-he will be so missed! Love and hugs to all the family, God be will you!??❤️❤️
Mr. Johnny is the dad of my life long best friend and I will always remember him as a great father. He was very thoughtful and was always so nice to me. He will be sorely missed by his entire family. My prayers are with you all.
Mr. Williams was a great storyteller. I always enjoyed chatting with him. I was fortunate to be able to join Todd and his Dad for breakfast a few times. Always entertaining and it was plain to see how much of a bond they shared. Mr. Williams will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Judy, I feel your pain. Your loss is so fresh and you are going to have many days of deep grief. I have walked this path. Remember all the memories you and Frank shared which will always be deep in your heart. I will keep you in my prayers for healing. ????
There are so many stories to remember my heart goes out to you Linda, Todd and Stacy. He was one of the best bosses I’ve ever worked for. He will be missed. My condolences to the whole family.
This is a picture of the Kregers and the Fairers at Virginia Beach when Betty and I were really young. I am sad she has passed. I will really miss her. I am glad I spoke to her very recently. She was always happy when we talked on the phone and I enjoyed being with her at the Tuesday luncheons.
Kajs, My deepest sympathy to you on Jim’s passing. I had only just heard of the debilitating disease he had. What a light he was in the lives of everyone who knew him. It may be years since we’ve shared space, but I’ve always had warm thoughts whenever I’ve thought of both of you. I particularly recall his beer, his smile — and seeing your speed walking over the roads. God bless. Karen
Dear Irwin:

It was very sad that Johnny and I did not remain close over the years. Johnny touched many lives over the years. I am certain he will be missed and many friends and family. Johnny always meant so much to me.
You might’ve been my grandad but i always looked at you as my father, you were the best friend I’ll ever have. I’ll always cherish all of our breakfast dates, dancing in the car, and four wheeler rides back in the day. We had a bond like no other, and used to just run away to the beach house to get away from it all, if only we could do that now. I love you eternally pawpaw, love your punk.
We worked together and talked a lot when I was at Branscome, 12 pack was a fun guy to work with, I will see you on the other side brother and I will never forget you. Rust Trail

Chris lived not far from me and when I needed a ride home, he was always willing to drive me. He was an excellent officer. I just happened to search his name today and found out he had died. My sympathy to the family.

Uncle John, the night before you passed I had a list of things I wanted to thank you for, so I guess here is as good as any – as I thought I’d have more time to share with you..
1.) Thank you for putting up the railing for my dad on the stairwell, when he first came home from the hospital as he was trying to move about the house…
2.) Thank you for visiting after Evelynn was born and helping me get Home Depot to take back the refrigerator we bought that really was too big and didn’t fit in our kitchen, you knew how to speak to the manager, it was so helpful, and I felt like I had a strong team member 🙂
3.) Thanks for the pasta lunch back in the city of Rome years ago, even IF you were hastily moving through the amazing Sistine Chapel and had the museum security on edge, we called them ‘professional shushers’ they kept shushing you to be more quiet. Hahah, it was one of my most memorable moments in Rome. It always makes me laugh.
4.) Thank you for the memorable times on your sail boat, there was always something to do, and I’ll never forget getting sea sick after going crabbing.
5.) Thanks for being there and always making the trip to Pittsburgh, these many times over the years. It was a joy to be able to come down to Virginia Beach in my summers as a pre-teen to teenager and hang out eating ice cream and watching gulf with you on the couch 🙂
Your strong presence will be missed, Love your niece Luci
My deepest condolences to Charlie, Wilma, Leon & Family. I’ll always remember Marvin especially from back when I’d see him at the Little Creek Amphib Base Gym with his Dad (Charlie). About 1 year ago he installed a new HVAC system in my partner Ken’s home. Rest in Peace Marvin…❤
Uncle Maurice, Nancy is in a good place. I will remember her as “Ms. Etiquette ” often giving me a hard time about not having a full set of dishes when I lived by myself.
May Peace Be With You.

I also enjoyed every moments talking to John about many things outside of work. John, you’re forever in my thoughts and you will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace!
Do you see her, that face, that smile. It says everything about her. She lights up a room and her laugh, warms your heart. She is as beautiful inside as out. Sheryl is a Caregiver, yes a Giver of Care/Love/Compassion/Empathy/Warmth/Sympathetic/Nurturing. Sheryl was all that and a loving Mother, Sister, Auntie, Friend and Confidante. On 3-28-21, Sheryl joined our brother Herb, Mum, Dad, Maureen and the rest of our Family for a Heavenly Palm Sunday Celebration. They both Love the Lord and are now at Peace. We will miss Sheryl and Herb terribly. RIH/RIP ❤️??❤️??

Maurice,
Please accept my sincere condolences on Nancy’s passing. She was a little spitfire and would always be ready with a story when Lisa and I would show up for lawn services. I enjoyed her stories about her time in the army. She was a trailblazer for all women in the military. She will be missed.

My Uncle John lived so big! I have admired him and loved him from my earliest memories. He stood up for me, made me laugh, and helped me see through his own example that I could make much more out of life than the box others wanted to put me in. He was a wonderful mixture of compassion and bull-headedness. I will miss Uncle John deeply, and am grateful for the sense of him that lives on through his family.
May you rest in heaven with all the other Angels. You will continue to live through your beautiful girls. We are are so blessed to have had you as a part of each of our lives. Until we me meet again.?
Wishing Mike and your girls the strength to get through this difficult time. Peace and love to you all.
I really enjoyed Linda, she always made me laugh. We would sit around HRC and talk endlessly about life. I looked at her as a person who has been thru so much in this world but still had the drive to be well. I am very sad to hear this news today. Xo xo Linda. Rest in Peace
Sending prayers for the entire Devoe family. I’m so sorry for your loss. I never had the honor of meeting her, but I can tell how amazing of a mom she was from meeting her daughters. Rest peacefully.

Ms. Maness was a big part of my teenaged years. She always made me feel welcomed in her home, just like another daughter. She was so respectful of me, even though I was young and naive, she didn’t judge. I will always think fondly of those times that included her. My sincere condolences to Kim and the entire family. ❤️
I am so sorry to read of June’s passing. We worked together, ate together, shopped together many times. Past few years we were not able to see each other as much for various reasons. I always knew if I called her or she called me, we could talk for an hour non-stop. Her friendship meant so much to me. June had a beautiful family and they will miss her. May she rest in peace in God’s hands.
Enjoyed the brief time I spend with you at the party palace on Chela Ave. You were a great neighbor and friend who showed me an interesting way for a 2 liter empty bottle of soda to joyfully erupt and expressive itself. Continue on your next adventure, continue, to love, and may those friends who have gone on before us be there to warmly greet you.
Aileen worked for me many years and I could not have had a better person in the office. She was so personable with agents that came into our office. She took great care of our agents. She was so dependable. I never had to be concerned about any aspect of her job. More importantly she looked after me. She often said “ go see your mom”. Thank goodness she did. It is so easy to become wrapped up in business that we forget important things. Family was important to her and she counted our office as family. We missed her when she left, but we never forgot her. We are sorry for your loss.
Truly sorry for the loss of Joe.. One of my favorite memories was “Halloween” night and taking my Grandchildren to the Graessle home for Trick or Treating!! They have not forgotten and will carry it as a warm and special memory,
God bless the family and Joe’s memory; what a Teddy Bear he was!!!
In Sympathy,
Kathy Watson
My condolences to the family of Mr. Carew. I met Mr. Carew at RiverPoint Rehab Ctr.
I volunteered every Wed. and Mr. Carew was in the lobby waiting to go to his treatment. We would converse. We had nice conversations. Before I had to go and do my volunteering, he would ask for prayer and I would pray for him. He always wanted prayer. I have missed seeing him due to the virus. I will miss him now. I will keep you all in prayer and Mr. Carew is in Heaven. He was a believer In Jesus. I am glad to have met Mr. Carew. I will keep you all in prayer during your time of bereavement . God bless you all. Mrs. Jackson
Tim was my grandfather, he taught me a lot about life. I’ll miss our talks, his stories and advice. I don’t think he knew how important he was to me. Rest in peace.
Mr. Williams,
Please know how saddened I am to hear of Nancy’s passing. We had many wonderful conversations while walking the Lake about life, family and our mutual love of dogs. I imagine her now surrounded by all the neighborhood puppies who preceded her, two of mine included. She will be tremendously missed.
Pam H.
Ron, we are so sorry to hear about Anne’s passing. We are praying for you and your family during this sad time. We pray that our LORD will give you HIS Peace, Grace and Wisdom.

So sorry about your loss.
Rest in peace dear friend. You’ve earned it. Love to the family.

So so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. This was heart breaking to hear. Praying for his family to find comfort.
So sorry for your loss. Praying for God’s peace and comfort over your family.
We are so sorry for your loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. The Porter Family
My thoughts and prayers for all of the family, I know that she will be greatly missed but she will always be in your heart
Isa. 30:15.
Linda was a wonderful teacher for our daughter at Jamestown and a good friend at church. She will be missed! We are so blessed by having known her.

His love for God was evident, his love for Wilma immense, his love for his family was unconditional, and his love for friends was apparent.

Condolences to the
Graham family May God give you all strength at this time of sorrow
Sorry for your loss.

Bob

Barbara and I extend our condolences to Marty and the family. We knew Robert for many years and shared membership at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. My dear friend of 45 years I will miss you. All the great times we had together I will always cherish those memories from swimming at big orange country to skiing out west and everything in between there are so so many. I’ll never forget you. See you on the other side
I’m thinking of you today…I love you Aunt Mary Ann…
We are very saddened by the great loss of the Dibble family; our hearts are broken. Marcel was a giver to all and didn’t expect anything in return. A look back at her life demonstrates her dedication to others, from teaching children her entire adult life to raising two of the most beautiful human beings I know, is proof of what a loving gift to life Marcel was. Time heals and memories fade but what you leave behind forever contributes to the positive legacy of life. Marcel’s left a great legacy through the children she taught, the people she touched and her own wonderful family. Peace and love to them all…
My condolences to Steve’s family and friends. I am a golf buddy of Steve’s and always appreciated his approach to life and golf. He is missed.
I am indeed saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a spiritual leader for the PRC gang that I was privileged to serve on. The world is,indeed, a darker place today.
I pray that they memory of the good times you shared will quickly grow to fill the void you feel today.
Sharon, Mike, and family,
Sending love your way. May you all know God’s comfort during these difficult days. Peace to you all.
Love, Susan
I met Randy through work. I am sad to hear the news. My condolences

Julie, Joe brought you joy. I am grateful he gave you much happiness. Praying for your peace.

With deepest sympathy as you remember Marcel,
Love,
Diana Wooden
Marsha, I am just now seeing this in March 2021. I am so very sorry! Mike was the sweetest! I pray that your fond memories bring you peace.

Our sincere condolences to the family. John was a great friend and cousin. He will greatly missed.
I love you so much. Rest in heaven
You’re flying now.
so missed
I miss you everyday my Uggie. You and mama keep watching over me and the family keeping ur memory alive . Miss u until we meet again

When we would talk on the phone, she was always cheerful despite the struggles. I will cherish her friendship.

Sorry for your loss!

It was my pleasure to work with this wonderful man for several years at SPAH in the ED. Rest in peace, Doc.

TanNa and Victoria, I will miss you so, my dear, beautiful friends.

Cancer is a bitch!
I’m incredibly sorry for your loss.

Bob and I were so saddened to learn of Mary’s passing. Her friendship meant a great deal to both of us and we cherished the infrequent times that we could get together. Our yearly trips to VA Beach would not have been the same without our annual lunch at Bubba’s. Mary was a lady in every sense of the word. Her infectious laugh and her good council were very welcome. We will miss her and remember her fondly. Our hearth felt sympathy goes out to all of her family. We loved her as a dear friend and are so glad we got to meet her children and grandchildren.
RIP Charlie
Laura, Kathleen, Robert and Family, Thinking of you. Praying God will provide peace and comfort to each of you during this difficult time and for the days to come. Love, Juanita
BOB CHOYNACKI I miss you this Easter I think about you all the time in my heart I have you with me all the time till we meet again fly high with the angels my love love always Faye….?
Noreen and I met as neighbors in the late 60’s. She was a kind, intelligent, free spirited longtime friend. She introduced me to hosteling on a trip to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket in the 80’s. It was a wonderful experience and a lot of fun. She will always be remembered.
Mary was a wonderful person, Mother, and Grandmother! I will miss her humor, jokes, cards and emails.
Danny you are loved by so many and will always be in our hearts.
Thank you for your life’s example. Devoted Healer, Officer, American, Mother and Grandmother of amazing family, and Christian. Be at Peace.
Claire Schopen and Family,
May The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit honor the family with His continued presence as you mourn the loss of Joe. We, at The Chamberlin share your pain.
Gloria Pressley and Darrell Broach
It is said that time heals all wounds; It’s not time, it’s love. I pray our God, the God of the greatest love, heals your broken hearts.
Charlie was a one of a kind, all round great person.
My deepest sympathies to you all, the family he loved and adored.
Suzie Werman
I cannot begin to imagine how much you will be missed. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to meet you.

RIP Martina…your Little Creek elementary, Azalea Jr high, and Lake Taylor high school classmates won’t forget you…..

For my dad up in heaven! I love you and will miss you so much! RIP Daddy! ??
Courtney, Cameron and family,

Praying for the family during this difficult time. Ms. Thelma was a beautiful and lovely lady. She will be greatly missed.
Sorry for your loss, Ron was a great man and will be missed dearly.

RIP sweet lady. I will miss you. Deepest Sympathy to the family.
Her Journey is now of a new form of peace. She will remain in your heart always. Our. Condolences.. Love Jerry and Laura.
God’s peace to you girls as you miss your papa❤️

I was very sorry to read of Fred’s passing. I only knew him briefly, through the time that my late husband Neil and I attended the support group meetings for IPF. He was always so friendly and encouraging. I hope that he did not suffer much with his disease at the end of his long and well-lived life. May God hold each of his family members gently and may you each find peace in your faith and joy in your memories of Fred. With sincere condolences and prayers for your comfort.

She was always a lady by the “Golden Rule”. Unmatched class, and the sweetest lady I’ve ever known! She has left a beautiful legacy, and will be deeply missed.
June’s favorite poem by Mother Teresa –
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
My deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Healing thoughts and prayers for peace of heart to the family. We had the pleasure of knowing Aubrey for several years.
I learned today of Ron’s passing. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy to work with back in the old SUBE days.
Your fire has gone out but your light will never leave the hearts of those who held you dearest. Praying for God to provide peace to your family.
You have my heartfelt sympathies in your time of sorrow and loss.
He was a nice guy
Ron was a presence that will be greatly missed. May God grant the family peace and consolation during this time of loss.
Please know that your Navy colleauges are thinking and praying for your family as you face this difficult period and celebrate Leon’s amazing life.
We are sorry for your loss, may she Rest In Peace.
I love you Meemaw!!

Take care!

Growing up across the street from you, I always thought of you as “MY babysitter,” as if there may be other people who might care for me in my parents’ absence, but you held a place of honor because you were “MY babysitter.” Thanks for the happy memories, Nicole.
William,
We exchanged a few FB messages recently after Julie went into ICU.
Anne-Lise Gere
My sincerest sympathies to Brenda’s family. I have many wonderful, warm memories of Brenda. We worked together for many years at Avon. Brenda was a very kind and generous person. May she rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you & your family Staci.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will always remember his smile. It would melt your heart.

I particularly recall his beer, his smile — and seeing your speed walking over the roads. God bless. Karen

We will miss you Uncle John. ? ?

Keeping Holly and her family in our thoughts and prayers. We love you guys. xoxo

I really enjoyed Linda, she always made me laugh. We would sit around HRC and talk endlessly about life. I looked at her as a person who has been thru so much in this world but still had the drive to be well. I am very sad to hear this news today. Xo xo Linda. Rest in Peace

Sorry to hear about your mom Kim. Prayers to the Family
Ms. Maness was a big part of my teenaged years. She always made me feel welcomed in her home, just like another daughter. She was so respectful of me, even though I was young and naive, she didn’t judge. I will always think fondly of those times that included her. My sincere condolences to Kim and the entire family. ❤️
Dear Irene- we will miss you at our family gatherings. Love you. Bobby and Robyn
I’m grateful for Nanny being in Heaven because she will never feel pain or suffer anything. We will miss you. Love you Nanny.
Hey Big Joe,
Enjoyed the brief time I spend with you at the party palace on Chela Ave. You were a great neighbor and friend who showed me an interesting way for a 2 liter empty bottle of soda to joyfully erupt and expressive itself. Continue on your next adventure, continue, to love, and may those friends who have gone on before us be there to warmly greet you.
Carry on, Big Joe,
Kent
